TRASHY SPARKLE-PACKAGING DESIGN
This was a personal project i did for a client to design a logo for a recycling company as well as a suitable packaging to suit the products to be sold.
EDITORIAL DESIGN-SHORT STORY FLORA
The brief was to design a book for short story by David Rose- FLORA. The aim was to create a visually pleasing and exciting book design with the use of typography, layout and colour to portray the stories narrative.I focused on creating a strong typographical hierarchy and typeset adequately in order for the audience to continue reading. I based my concept on a maze since the story was full of uncertanity and mystery.I also created the inside spread using Adobe Indesign and screenprinted the dust jacket.
SCREEN DESIGN-INTERACTIVE DESIGN
This was part of my second year project to create an interactive screen design using Adobe Animate to display information about the things employers look at before hiring a person.
LIVE DESIGN BRIEF- THE GROWN UP CHOCOLATE COMPANY
I took part in the YCN competition and i choose the brief to create a new a identity for the new free from range that the Grown Up Chocolate Company would be launching soon.I developed the name TRUE BARS which i believe works well to promote healthy products.
TRUE BARS is a new handmade brand new free from range alternative to our original Grown up chocolate bars. It is aimed at health conscious people with dietary requirements or if you just want a healthy alternative to these decadent chocolate bars.These bars burst with flavour and definately full of childhood chocolate memories.The bars are totally free from any traces of nuts, dairy free and 100% vegan. I designed 3 key visuals: vegan, dairy free and nut free accompanied with the three flavours for the range.
FLAVOUR STUDIO-IDENTITY AND BRANDING
This was a team project where myself and four others formed and a new dynamic graphic design company-Flavour.We produced the name, strapline, business cards and website, along with promotional material including a lookbook and letterhead.
Our core concept for our identity is based on the diversity we have in our team. We provide design that will exceed flavour plattet in creating and providing creative solutions across multiple touchpoint that help brands to communicate and to be different.

Bite the Ballot-Political Animal Poster
This project was a live client brief (Bite the Ballot) to raise awareness of the Political Animal movement. The aim was to promote the Political Animal campaign and motivates 16 to 24 year olds to join this emergent movement.Also to engaged citizens who are socially conscious and aware of their power as changemakers.
SCREEN DESIGN-MOTION GRAPHICS
This was part of my first year project creating a title sequence based on Will Self’s short story ‘iAnna’.The story portrayed a woman who was schizophrenic and describes her action as she is in the ward. I decided to create a short 20 seconds title sequence with accompanying sound to capture the concept of how iAnna's mental disorder.
INFORMATION DESIGN
Using the data set provided, I developed an information ‘narrative’ of who's ahead from a data set provided I based it on the overall body weight,gestation and lifestyle of the animals.Also,using Adobe Illustrator I designed a consistent set of animal pictograms and an infographic poster to display the information in a simple way.
ETHICAL DESIGN-SAVE EVERY DROP CAMPAIGN
This project was part of my second year ethical design brief. I was motivated by the urgent water crises the city of Cape Town-South Africa were currently facing. The citizens struggled to hit the household consumption target which lead to a current water restriction of 50 litres of water per person, per day.
Many campaigns have been organised to create residents awareness of this situation.This inspired me to create an awareness campaign to help stop habits that involve wasting water and promote responsible use of water in the household but not only in Sorth Africa but the whole world in general. My target audience is everyone in the household, both old and young.This is because most of water usage happens in the home.
I created an informercial themed SAVE EVERY DROP with effective, easy to use tips to achieve my objective. My concept was to draw attention to bad water use habits and at the same time show the prefered practice. I used simple 2D illustrations with a minimal colour scheme.
In addition, i created an app with the same theme SAVE EVERY DROP where households could calculate their daily water usage and keep track on how much water they have saved.
To furthur generate social awareness, I created a YouTube channel where they could watch animated and interactive videos about the use of water and the importance of saving more of it.This can be shared across various social media platforms and watched on either a tablet or a mobile device.
In addition, I created a sticker which can be put on surfaces in the home. For example,on the bathroom door or elsewhere which would serve as a reminder for people as they go on with their daily lives.To enhance my design furthur, I would have preferred to create a variety of visuals which could work across other media platforms to reach a variety of age groups within the family. Beyond English i would have done text translations to other languages to reach locals and other language groups.
