i've slept hugging tight the pillow, inhaling your perfume and exhaling peace. when the morning came and i found myself lying on the complete opposite side (still holding the same pillow, wishing it was you) i realized...

you close your eyes when i give you a peck and how you always hold my hand or put your hand on my knee when you're driving. it melts my heart the way you pay attention to the smallest details about the things i like the most and how you pull me closer, kiss the back of my neck and want to stay in bed so we can spend more time together, in the darkness of your room and just enjoying each other's company.

every single one of those things (and other ones that i rather keep to myself) make my heart beat lighter and out of rhythm when you're close enough to touch or just a message away.

it makes my heart lighter to write about you. to think that we are the reason behind all these awakened feelings i'm carrying inside my chest and overflowing in every corner i'm turning into for the past month. that our connection and companionship makes me believe again.

and i have to keep reminding myself that i've did everything that i could for us (sometimes even more than i should) and that i need to know the time to let it go. is not easy to forget the love you used to feel so present and strong inside your soul, but is a process needed in order to carry on and be free.
