The Met Gala was a while ago, but I came across this post on Pinterest. I wanted to comment on Pinterest, but it's straight up fucking Orwellian censorship there so I guess not. Fuck Pinterest.
I keep hearing about "It's a charity event, it's about art" and they need to SHUT THE FUCK UP. It's a BOOTLICKER talking point. No art nor "charity" is worth people, going homeless, deported, starving and/or dying in a literal dictatorship. There's no art without the people. The fuckass celebs are not apolitical rich people contributing to art.
If these celebs "cared" about art so much, they would want their fellow coworkers in the costume and makeup departments, animators, voice actors etc. to be paid what they're worth. Or at least, I dunno, NOT GO HOMELESS, POOR OR DEPORTED.
Instead they throw their disgusting amount of wealth at supposed "art conservation events". Many of them can't even DRESS properly and are just sponsored by well known designers anyway. The people you defend don't give a fuck about you, but the fellow working people you betray to do so will remember you. Better pray they're willing to forgive.
