This is one of my OC: Aurelia ‘Aurie/Aura’ Malfoy
Here’s her information about her:
Full name: Aurelia Celeste Malfoy
Wand: Elm, 11”, dragon heartstring
Relation: Draco Malfoy’s younger sister (2 years apart)
Nicknames: Lia, Aura, Aurie, and Ellie
Aurelia Malfoy is elegance sharpened into a weapon. She has pale blond hair like her brother, but wears it long and controlled, usually braided or pinned back with purpose. Her grey eyes are cool and observant, missing nothing. She moves with practiced composure, every gesture deliberate, every expression measured. Where Draco carries tension, Aurelia carries restraint, she dresses impeccably, favoring clean lines and muted tones. Nothing about her is accidental.
Aurelia’s intelligent, guarded, and quietly intense. She doesn’t raise her voice, doesn’t posture, and doesn’t waste words. She believes power lies in restraint and information, not volume. Unlike many Slytherins, she has no interest in domination for its own sake. She wants control because control keeps her safe, she’s deeply perceptive and emotionally private. Aurelia learned early that vulnerability is dangerous in her family, so she hides her feelings behind calm logic and impeccable manners. When she speaks, it’s because she means it, her loyalty, once earned, is absolute.
Aurelia grew up watching the cracks in the Malfoy legacy form before anyone dared acknowledge them. She saw the fear beneath Lucius’s pride and the quiet damage it did to Draco. Unlike her brother, she learned to adapt rather than rebel openly, she questioned her family’s ideology internally for years, carefully, silently. Survival came first. Truth came later. Hogwarts is the 1st place where Aurelia begins to imagine a life not defined entirely by her surname.
Aurelia’s known as Malfoy’s shadow: Polite, Untouchable & Dangerous in debates. Professors respect her discipline while students keep their distance. She excels in Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Occlumency, but struggles with Divination, finding it imprecise and indulgent. No one knows much about her, that’s intentional.
Trope of Aurelia & Esmeralda
Initial Rivalry (Rivals to Lovers)
Their first interactions are openly hostile; Esmeralda distrusts Aurelia immediately. Malfoy blood is enough to warrant suspicion. Aurelia, in turn, finds Esmeralda irritatingly blunt, intellectually aggressive, and impossible to intimidate. They clash in class debates: Study sessions turn into arguments, neither backs down. It’s personal fast.
What shifts their rivalry is recognition, Aurelia notices Esmeralda’s intelligence isn’t performative. It’s instinctive. Esmeralda notices Aurelia’s silence isn’t arrogance. It’s restraint. Both see themselves reflected in uncomfortable ways. The arguments become quieter, more precise, charged
Their relationship mirrors Drarry in structure but not in tone: Harry and Draco are explosive, while Esmeralda and Aurelia are controlled. Their tension lives in looks held too long, words carefully chosen, and restraint cracking under pressure. They circle each other for years, and when it finally breaks, it’s private. Intense. No grand confession. Just honesty neither can afford to deny anymore.
• Aurelia teaches Esmeralda patience and emotional precision
• Esmeralda teaches Aurelia honesty and courage
• Aurelia grounds Esmeralda’s fire
• Esmeralda dismantles Aurelia’s walls
Esmeralda fell first, quietly, and then Aurelia fell later
Draco’s Role: Draco recognizes the pattern immediately, he doesn’t interfere, but he watches closely. Aurelia has never let anyone this close. When Esmeralda proves she won’t break her, Draco gives his reluctant approval. Not warmth, but respect.
• Moral clarity beneath restraint
• Difficulty asking for help
Aurelia is not a softer Malfoy, she’s a quieter one. Her love for Esmeralda isn’t redemptive because it’s dramatic. It’s redemptive because it’s chosen, honest, and hard-won.
