So I havenât been drawing as much as Iâd like to. But thereâs a reason.Â
Iâve been playing Dungeons and Dragons for the first time. Itâs such an engaging and fun game. DnD actually got me back into drawing. I had to create a character with a backstory, so I went to work and this is the result.
Below is my characters backstory
Freya Holimion is a half elf princess from the prosperous kingdom of Platinon. She was the chosen heir who would one day take her fathers place and rule the kingdom. However, her twin brother Paelias grew envious of her and devised a plan to be rid of his rival once and for all. In the swift silence of the night, Paelias and his followers assassinate the king and all members of the royal council. The palace had been taken over. Now, there was only one thing standing between the throne and him.
Instead of killing her, Paelias banishes Freya and throws her into a different dimension. It is not known how much time has passed, but Platinon has since fallen into darkness under her brothers reign. Itâs up to Freya to master the art of the sword and find a way back home to save her people.
This new land is foreign and her noble blood holds no weight or value here. Whether she likes it or not, Freya must learn to live as a commoner in this world. To survive, Freya becomes a skillful bounty hunter known to the locals as
Crimson Moon. Her elfish eyes, red as blood. Her skin, pale as death. Her hair, a flowing shadow of darkness.
One night at a local tavern, Freya overhears a Dragon Born telling a legend of an ancient mystical bridge called âThe Riftâ. Could it be? Sheâs heard this story before. And the language he spoke, it was ancient Draconic. Freya turned around to see who had spoken of the legend. But the mysterious Dragonborn was gone. Without hesitation, She sets out and ventures the land in hopes of finding The Rift. The legend must be true if the exact same tale was told in both worlds. Freya holds on to that shimmer of hope and continues onward.
Although she has a good heart, Freya is stubborn, relentless, hot blooded and often acts without thinking. It is for these many reasons that she likes to work alone, not wanting anything or anyone to hold her back. Things change however when she is saved by a band of brave traveling warriors. Had they not arrived when they did, Freya would surely be dead. In order to repay her debt and uphold the family code, she decides to accompany them on their journey.
Through her adventures with them, Freya will grow to become the ruler her kingdom needs.
But will she make it back, before itâs too late?
