1. How and when did you first discover fanfic?

I don't remember very clearly! BUT!! Probably when I was super into Soul Eater in high school. (So maaaybe when I was around 13-14???)

I remember trying to find Death the Kid fic on FF.Net, but even back then FF.N was a headache and a half to sort through. I do distinctly remember being so frustrated with how little I was finding that I ventured to Wattpad (or Goodreads???? I feel like I remember some legend out there posting fic in GoodReads comments or something similar hahaha) which is where I learnt that OC×canon was a thing but definitely not MY thing lol

Anyway yeah, it was that thing of a piece of media being deeply mediocre but its potential keeping you in a chokehold.

Hunter X Hunter was my jam after that, through which I did eventually discover AO3. I love you tag wranglers I love you robust search filtering I love you AO3.
