Harusono-sensei's Volume 8 Note on Sasaki Shuumei

I was set on including a proposal scene in this volume, and I managed to do so with Chapter 42. Of all the volumes, this is the one that involves a reformation of Sasaki Shuumei's sense of awareness. I feel that Sasaki Shuumei is a person who will, jokingly, take one step forward—but then turn around and immediately adopt defensive maneuvers. That hasn't changed since he entered this relationship. His entering high school and finding a boyfriend in Miyano Yoshikazu, who has the power to transcend those defensive maneuvers, and a classmate in Hirano Taiga who adopts no defensive maneuvers and focuses on his studies were good experiences for him, in my opinion.

Sasaki experienced Miyano voicing his trust in Sasaki out loud in Chapter 40, then witnessed in Chapter 41 just how much Miyano trusts him from an outsider's perspective, and recognized just how broad the space was that he was 'allowed' to tread, and as if that wasn't enough, he got blindsided by that explosive pronouncement in Chapter 42. Live happily ever after!

I really wanna see Sasaki push Myaa-chan down... Maybe I'll draw it next time.
