i get that there are people who don’t dive deeper into irondad and spiderson like some fans do, but to think that peter and tony didn’t build a familial bond genuinely feels like being blind. u hear a rando bulshitting abt how “people are crazy to think that tony cared about peter” while talking abt the man who saved the universe all because of peter and not for anyone else. that man’s life may seem complete to the other characters because he had his wife, his daughter, and best friends who were fortunately not blipped—but to him, it wasn’t complete without peter and he proceeded to override the laws of physics just for that boy “he didn’t care about”
and i won’t even jump to the fact that there is literally a whole movie of peter dealing with his grief over tony’s death, how heavily tony impacted his growth and his decisions. y’all still be acting so blind 9 years later
the universe would not have been saved if tony and peter only had a “professional,” superficial relationship. they were family, and they felt it so deeply that half of the universe was brought back to life
sophomore year // moodboard
my favourite antagonist is of course the one who hurts my favourite character
the man who gained his trust, his love, his admiration. someone he cared for
the person who filled the void after his father figure died
a man who manipulated someone in a vulnerable position, used him for his own selfish endeavours. who stole a tool and turned it into a weapon
who then tries to kill the golden goose. who admits he's better, and good, and that's why he has to die
yeah. that's my favourite villain
i saw a tweet back in 2022 saying that in the endgame scene before tony hugs peter and peter kept rambling abt strange so tony says something in the lines of, “hold me, kid. hold me.” and i can’t find that tweet anymore four years later so now i think i’m hallucinating. you guys gotta see it i’m being so fr
I’m convinced that it was implied in Iron Man one that Obadiah groomed Tony
sources: + + + + + + +
the enhanced interrogation protocol HAD to be a joke. i can imagine tony watching the footage and laughing his ass off. through the baby monitor protocol of course.
Tony would've never let peter be forgotten.
father figure by taylor swift is so irondad and spiderson coded that you can make an edit of them using the whole song and there will always be a way to make it work
lukewarm take but tony stark was way too attractive in spider-man homecoming, 8 mins of screentime but honestly his best era and dethroned his 3 movies i fear

Tony who saw so much of himself in Peter. He saw this kid and saw who he would be if he was better. He never told Peter because he didn’t want him to carry that kind of responsibility unlike his father did to him. Tony looked at Peter and saw so much of himself.
After he died, Tony saw much more of himself in Peter. He saw the anxiety, the panic, the guilt. He saw the responsibility the world put on Peter’s shoulders, more than he himself ever had to carry. Tony looked at Peter and saw himself. Who he would be if his life would’ve been 30 times worse. He saw that his death was the cause for most of it. And he wishes for nothing more than to find a way back to Peter.
Tony Stark’s death made the world a better place. But it made Peter Parker’s world into hell.
niche fave irondad moment: peter and tony trying to land the q-ship. // avengers: infinity war (2018)
(full scene below)
let’s crash a spaceship with papa
MHM🥺🥺
it’s such an underrated moment imo. tony’s quick direction and peter’s quick acknowledgements back show such an improved level of communication between them. and then they’re coordination?? like the ship was obviously going to crash regardless, but they made it down as safely as possible.
in the movie we last saw them in before this, they were arguing and misunderstanding each other constantly, they had a very push-pull understanding of their own dynamic. tony doesn’t trust him enough to be safe with big responsibilities, peter doesn’t follow tony’s orders because he wants to prove himself capable of handling more.
it’s all these mini scenes in infinity war that i love so much. it shows how much their relationship grew in those few months they had together before it all went to shit. for a short, golden period of time, they worked together well, and trusted each other, and knew they had the other’s back.
THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT.
this is the proof that Tony and Peter’s relationship grew so much in those two years, and scenes like this are all we really get to see of that. It makes me so frustrated.
They’ve really learned to communicate without communicating and have gained a sort of awareness and understanding of each other that, in my opinion, clearly comes from them consistently working together.
soooooo infinity gap is canon I don’t give a gaf

The plane MCU peter’s parents died in didn’t malfunction. Nothing about the plane itself went wrong. The plane was struck by a rogue Stark Industries missile shot by terrorists and Stark Industries (ahem obie ahem) got it all covered up. Nobody knows, not even Tony.
Until Peter finds out, years later. Until Peter finds out and is pretty sure Tony knows. And Peter thinks it’s pretty shit for his mentor not to tell him that kind of information.
Tony doesn’t know why Peter came in upset and he’s nowhere near emotionally prepared to hear more details about his past crimes of negligence.
oh my god.
The kid doesn’t say much when he comes in that day. He doesn’t even look at Tony— he just throws his bag angrily down on the table.
“You okay, kid?”
It takes him a second to react, but after a few deep breaths, Peter turns. The look on his face is startling— Tony thinks it must be the angriest he’s ever seen him. “I know, Mr. Stark.” He says, his voice quiet and unsteady with emotion. “I know. ”
Tony stops what he’s working on and starts to come around the counter towards Peter. “Know what?”
“About the missile.”
Tony squints as he tries to understand what he’s getting at. “What— what missile?”
Peter unzips his backpack. He tears out a piece of paper and shoves it into Tony’s hands. It’s an article from 2007. The headline: ROGUE STARK INDUSTRIES MISSILE HITS CIVILIAN U.S. AIRCRAFT, 213 DEAD.
Horror dawns over Tony’s face as he reads it. “What is this? Where did you find this?”
“This is the only article left that I could find, and I had to dig. You really covered it up.” Peter responds dryly, underhanded anger in every word.
“Peter, I’ve never heard of this before in my life. What is this about?”
As soon as he asks, it starts to creep up on him…Peter’s opened up about his parents; the plane crash, the one that took both their lives—
“Mr. Stark.” Peter huffs, frustration in his voice. He looks up at the ceiling, and in the light, Tony can see the tears in his eyes. “My—” The kid’s voice breaks and he looks away, bringing a hand to his mouth to cover his sob. He composes himself just enough to whisper it.
“My parents were on that flight.”
He looks so betrayed. He looks six years old, realizing his parents would never come home, his eyes red with unspilled tears— “I always believed it was an accident. That sometimes bad things just happen, for no good reason,” he sobs. He looks back up to Tony. “But it was you.”
The tone of Peter’s voice is now more sadness than anger, tinged with grief at the loss of the idea of Tony, Tony Stark, the hero. How could you? Why did it have to be you?
His gaze bores into Tony’s face. Tony can’t look back up at him. He can’t even say anything in response. He just stares down at the picture of the carnage under the headline, under his name. Tony wants to bury himself alive right there, and die with the man Peter thought he was.
Peter leaves abruptly after that, and doesn’t come back for the next few days.
Things are off between the two of them for the next few weeks. Tony doesn’t sleep in all that time.
