Can someone just tell Kevin Feige know that the entire problem with New Marvel could be fixed if they just made a pre-Infinity Wars Disney+ series following Tony Stark irondading™ and Peter Parker spidersoning™??? (Bonus points if they include Shuri/Dr. Banner/Harley Keener doing science stuff!!!)

Fans (aka me) would totally eat it up. There doesn't even need to be a plot. Just give me some hilarious sarcasm, pop culture references, some hair ruffling... I'd singlehandedly watch the series on loop enough times to guarantee it does not flop.

We have to ditch the mentality that Peter Parker is weak, it’s just wrong

peter is genuinely one of the toughest characters in media that i know, and that’s kind of his appeal to me.

i think a lot of you guys are gonna relate to this as well, but I’m someone who grew up a little too fast, and i see that part of myself in peter. i think this is where the “uwu little guy” version of peter comes from— we see someone extremely tough and mature for their age out of necessity, someone who has seen things that most people haven’t, and has lost the ability to relate to people his own age. and then we see someone like tony show compassion for him, and take him under his wing, and take some of that pressure away. take some of the world off his shoulders. and this is everything— we want to see him taken care of, in the ways we never were. we want to see him being a kid because that’s what we want for ourselves.

I've seen fics where Peter's pre-bite scars dissapear after getting bit but now I'm obsessed with the idea of Peter, post-bite, as Spider-man with those scars left over from when he was just a kid, cuts from broken graduated cylinders while doing experiments, acne scars on his cheeks, back and chest from picking at his skin, burns from pulling lasagna out of the oven, scars from falling while Uncle Ben taught him how to ride a bike, even things with not as fond memories attached to them, scars from being pushed into metal lockers by Flash, self harm scars on his shoulders and arms, these little reminders of who he was before he was Spider-Man, back when he was just a kid, back when the worst thing he had experienced was getting pushed by flash

I love the concept of Peter referring to Tony as Mr. Stark just becoming its own thing. To the point where it doesn’t even register as a term of respect, but starts to sound like a separate name entirely like “misastark” or something.

Like when Tony hears someone else call him Mr. Stark, he hears it as “oh they’re trying to be respectful” but from Peter it’s just what the kid calls him.

I also think it would be funny if Peter started calling him Mr. Stark to be respectful at first, but then Tony was like “please just call me Tony at this point I beg” and Peter kept calling him it to annoy him but then he just ended up getting too used to it and Tony just becomes Mr. Stark to him.

They always call each other “Mr. Stark” and “kid” and that’s just how they operate and I find that cute.

They never call each other their actual names unless it’s something serious (like one of them dying oop)

ok hot take but also not, but peter is 100% suicidal in bnd, like he’s lost so much and being alone will have destroyed his mental health completely, and the way he just throws himself into danger without caring plus the looking at a video of his friends depressingly then literally throwing himself off a building gives passive suicidal vibes.

oh and this isn’t even to mention the clip where he’s free falling off a skyscraper without his suit and not looking to be about to shoot a web.

look i know it’ll never be explicitly stated because i think the new movie is rated pg13? and spider-man has always been kid friendly, but the sub context is there and you really don’t have to look hard to find it.

Thinking about how if Tony hadn't died the spell would never have happened and people would still remember Peter.

If Tony was still alive, Peter wouldn't have ended up having EDITH. Because of that, he wouldn't have given her to Mysterio. He wouldn't have even met him, because all he wanted from him was the glasses. He wouldn't have been able to reveal his identity, so Peter wouldn't have had to go to Strange to have it un-revealed. That first spell wouldn't have gone wrong. May would still be alive. Peter wouldn't be suffering alone. He'd still have Ned, MJ, May, Tony, everyone. He'd get to finish being what of a kid he could keep being, with two living parental figures, a best friend, a girlfriend, and a somewhat stable life.
