You know, people would occasionally ask me why I would always say Venomous and SF were split and treated as 2 different characters when I would list my favorites before. And I would always say that, despite the seemingly obvious, I would treat them as 2 different characters until it was confirmed otherwise. Because they could still be separate characters.

Little did I know at the time I was right to do that.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much edgelord are you?

“Uhhhhmm...” That question very much caught him off guard. Why was this even relevant, and what made a person an edgelord? Was that a good thing, or a bad thing? “Seven?”

“How did you manage that when I’m wearing some of it?” He was confuzzled.

Normally, Alaina would have taken a lot more time to wonder what they meant. Weren’t puppets just puppets, and stages just stages? They certainly were for whenever she danced up on stage. Or did a dangerous knife ballet, like that one time at that fair… However, Android’s inquiry took her mind away from those thoughts. “Huh? Interested in?” she asked, not even fazed by being referred to as darling.

He nodded. “Anything you want to get your hands on that you can’t. That’s my job. As long as you can pay or barter, I’ll get you anything you want.” So long as he knew what it was.

Shadowy then took a slight bow. “Anything so long as you can pay, no matter who you are. It’s my selling point.”

“… Okay, I’m really confused.”  And it clearly showed. Alaina raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. “I mean, the whole point of a puppet show is to watch, so you’re not really a part of it…”

“That depends on the puppets and stage you’re using.” Then Shadowy laughed to himself. “Regardless. Anything you’re interested in, darling?” Not that he thought she was a darling. He just wanted to get a reaction.

“Ask Fink; she managed to get into files before I pulled her away from the computer.” This time, it wasn’t his fault. At least directly.

Well, that just left her more confused than before. “I don’t know,” Alaina said, “I don’t think it’d be fun to watch a story that didn’t make sense to me.”

“How would you know you’re part of it? You can’t be disappointed by a story you don’t know is going on.”

The girl raised an eyebrow at that. “Uh… Isn’t the point of puppets to entertain people with stories they understand?” she asked.

“If the puppeteer knows what’s going on, isn’t that all that matters?” Not that he wanted to say too much. Let her try and figure out what he really meant.

Alaina needed to think on that, just for a moment. “Well, I guess?” was her response, “I don’t really know a lot about it to make any judgement calls, myself.”

“It’s quite entertaining to watch. Especially when people don’t know it’s going on.” He stuffed his hands in his pockets. “But I digress-I won’t make any judgement calls either so long as they give me the money for it.”

“…” Alaina hummed slightly as she sat in a chair. “… What do people do for fun that doesn’t involve researching ghosts, spirits, demons, and stuff like that?”

“Does puppetry count?”

Alaina jumped up slightly, surprised by the sudden stranger in her midst. “Whoa, hey! Didn’t see you, there!” she greeted, before raising an eyebrow. “Puppetry?” she curiously repeated.

He nodded with a faint smile. Making himself undetectable, perceivable, always ended in amusing responses. “Yes. A lot of my clients like to try it.”

This is based on the Laserblast is Shadowy Figure theory. Also since both of their faces haven’t been revealed yet the designs are just what I think they could look like. This should be the last of the pieces I’ve made since I took a tumblr break. There’s one more but I’ll post that when I upload the speedpaint for it.
