Your first family is your blood family and you always be true to that. That means something. But there’s another family and that’s the kind you go out and find. Maybe even by accident. And they’re as much blood as your first family. Maybe more so, because they don’t have to look out for you and they don’t have to love you. They choose to.

NICKNAMES: Ash
FAMILY: Regina Andrews (50), Louie Andrews (52), Emma Andrews (10), Eddie Andrews (10), Everett Andrews (26), Eleanor Andrews (26).
middle child... he was the youngest for a solid 11 years before the twins were born, though. the family is very close knit and the family group chat is absolutely popping all night long. lit lit lit
known for being pretty hopeless when it comes to his love life, he’s in love with the idea of being in love and often has unrealistic ideas of other people and gets blind sighted on a regular basis by realising things™
nothing terribly bad has happened to asher in his entire life, he had the picture perfect childhood, has never really been served a loss and most of the time has been too oblivious to notice anything terrible going on in the world around him. an idealist through and through (*waits for his world to shatter since this is rp*)
he will ride and die for someone he’s known for 2 hot secs, he will build a lifelong friendship based on one convo and no one can tell him different
loves rocks.... collects weird looking rocks that he finds laying around and keeps them on a shelf in his bedroom <3
jigsaw puzzle fiend..... if he invites you over to put together a puzzle or the lego botanicals collection pls say no and turn off the phone bc he does not take such obligations lightly at all
loves sports..... but only if it’s an occasion where he can acceptably wear his non-ironic collections of vests and hoop shorts :/ doesn’t mean he’s good at sports either
chocolate eyes dropped to watch him as he stood, head tilting back slightly as he straightened up in front of her. she tried not to drop her eyes when he pulled his jeans and pants down but elle was only human and she caught a glance before asher pushed her back against the wall, lips capturing hers once more. her tongue slid against his as her hand, almost absentmindedly, reached out to wrap slender fingers around his hard cock, her wanton moan hardly muffled by the kiss. her pussy clenched at the thought of having him pounding into her and thankfully it didn’t seem like she’d have long to wait for that to be a reality, his fingers rubbing against her drawing out another small moan from deep inside her. in an instant, asher pulled away from her, breaking the kiss only to tell her that she was hot ( which she knew but still appreciated ) and elle couldn’t help but wonder what was behind that smile of his - a smile she hadn’t seen before. an order…asher telling elle what to do. it was unheard of and yet, she didn’t want to disobey, the way he ordered her to do it made her wet. mewling softly, elle did what she was told, turning around and placing her hands against the wall on either side of her head.
asher
when elle turns and does as she’s told, it fills him with a certain edge of thrill that he has rarely experienced because asher loves to be guided. there are two sides of him and his affection, love and care can be pushed away, replaced by a hardness that is wanted from others, something that in his daily life, he would never possess. the way she moans makes the hair on his arms stand up on end, his tongue running across his bottom lip to moisten it as he watches the way she places her hands flat down and moves behind her, his hands tracing to her waist momentarily where they find a home, the curve of her body something to behold. she might have been slightly evil but asher couldn’t deny that there was something intoxicating and beautiful about her, the very fact that she thought she was so much better than him making this all the more interesting, things turned on their head as he roughly rolls her skirt up on her hips, pulling her pants to the side without so much as a second thought as he frees himself, sliding himself inside of her without even a second thought and what a strangely sweet relief washed over him the moment it happened. tension releasing from his body as he felt her around him, taking a slow moment despite the roughness to look at her as he raised one hand to the back of her neck feeling that was what she wanted, that some part of her wanted the slight hint of aggression, nothing gentle about it. he moves his body against hers, the motions now fast as he lets out a low moan of his own.
Hana sat beside him and tried to calm him down using hand gestures. “Hey, what happened then? Do you need any help?” She was really worried and a little scared by the way he was. “Do I need to punch someone?” She tried to be funny, but not sure if it sounded right.
“i don’t think that there’s anyone who can help,” the idea of his brother being punched might be good under different circumstances but, maybe not right now. he lets out a sigh which seems to release some of his feelings although his heart is still pounding, “things at home are fucked up. i really need to get back there.”
“ i understand… ” in a lot of ways she knew exactly what he meant. her family was the most important thing in her universe she’d move mountains to be there in an emergency. on the other hand she didn’t want him to leave. it wasn’t until she was faced with the thought of losing him that it dawned on her just how much she cared. “ but i need you to stay here…with me… ” squeezing his hand as nerves ate away at her stomach. “ i know that’s really selfish and stupid but i just, i can’t be here without you, well i can but i don’t want to. i want to be here with you and i know that you’re worried about your family and i’ll get it if you leave because i can’t say that i wouldn’t go home if my sisters needed me but i just had to say something because i don’t know. i just had to i guess. ” words were leaving her mouth a mile a minute because if she kept talking then she wouldn’t have to stop and hear what he had to say in response.
surprise is etched into his expression, he hadn’t expected her to say that of all things. the way his hand still sits in hers, hazel eyes swirling with confusion and emotion that he can’t quite place because although he’s sure that he thought he would be missed, he never dreamed that she would ask him not to. he’s a simply guy, he has a simple heart that cracks open for everyone to see and looking at her, he wants more than anything to say that he won’t go, that he will stay right there for as long as she wanted. he doesn’t want to let her down but he’s still torn, his family on his mind no matter how far he manages to get away from them, “wow,” he finally stumbles, the rage dispensing from earlier, now there’s a new feeling that he’s still trying to work out. “i don’t think it’s stupid... to want me to stay,” he finally says, knowing that he would feel the same. that he missed people who had left and if noah wasn’t there, he didn’t really know what he would do with himself. “i’m not leaving you, noah. you know that? i’m going away from here for now but i’m not leaving you,” he clarifies, his eyebrows pushed together in the middle as he leans inwards to rest his forehead against hers for a second, shutting his eyes before pulling back. he can’t say he’ll stay but he’s sure he won’t be gone forever. “a lot of times i say what someone wants to hear, i could say i’d stay but i’m not sure i can, right now. but i’ll be back, you can’t get rid of me that easy,” he reassures with a small smile dampened with sadness in each corner.
she had a stupidly big grin on her face and let out a short but hysterical laugh, he was funny, and she was actually enjoying the conversation, “well, i’m from louisiana, so if the food isn’t spicy, why bother.”
“you’re from louisiana? that is so lit,” he means it, excited. as they reach the hotdog station set up in the hall, “i’m from a small town in england, got one of those plain palettes. not cultured, sorry, can we still be friends?”
cassidy didn’t take asher’s response or reaction to the questions to heart . in a lot of ways cass was a stranger to asher and if the roles were reversed , he wouldn’t let asher help him either . then again , that was something they both had in common . not letting anyone help them . possibly because of different reasons but that didn’t take away the fact that they both had that annoyingly frustrating quality . although , the even more frustrating part was cassidy didn’t know asher well enough to realize that he was doing that . not letting anyone help him . nodding his head a little , he pressed his lips together for a moment . not knowing exactly what to say in this moment . what was there to say ? or was it weirder to sit there in silence ? “ that’s true and breaking the mimosa rules would be unfortunate . “ cassidy joked back , looking over at asher . “ you’re not gonna poof like everyone else that leaves this ship right ? make it back in time for the next mimosa day ? “ he asked , more so teasing around . he knew that whatever it was that was going on , asher didn’t want to talk to him about it and he wasn’t going to push for answers . so he’d keep it light .
it might seem like he’s begrudging but he’s not, the expression on his face more related to the way he was feeling than anything that cass was saying. his lips press together as he listens to the question and he doesn’t know how to answer, he’s not adverse to a joke, to even being helped out by someone but asher doesn’t know how someone can help, what they can do. usually someone being there, making him eel better was all it took but right now, a thousand miles away, something was occurring that was out of his control and he hated that feeling, “it might take longer than a week, i don’t know if i’ll be back by saturday,” he admits, the words rather lifeless. shoulders hunched, he takes a breath and looks over again, “you won’t pour one for someone else, will you?” he asks rather flatly, trying to let cass know that he’s ok somewhere deep inside.
Hana was just passing by and noted the noises coming from his cabin. She couldn’t help but give a look to see what was happening, and seeing her friend made her a little worried. “What happened? Did you get robbed?” Hana felt free to enter his cabin and look into the situation.
he doesn’t really know if that’s a joke or a genuine question but he collapses down at the side of his bed with crossed legs, hands raking through his hair as he takes a deep breath. “who would rob me? i have nothing worth taking,” he finally mutters deflated.
on his way back from the library and passing the rooms of the other students, elijah nearly tripped on his feet as he heard the grumble coming from one of the room to the right of him. “woah, what’s going on here?” he said, looking in and seeing his friend in a frenzy almost.
somewhat caught in his tracks, he looks over at the door where elijah has appeared with a dark expression on his face. asher wasn’t an aggressive person, he wasn’t someone to be scared of, he wouldn’t even hurt a fly but in that moment, his devastation was making it hard for him to think. shaking hands as he stands upright, “i’m leaving,” he says rather simply.
“if you can find someone to pay for that, yeah.” she knew he was joking but went along anyway, and her smile grew wider with the promise of food, “i never say no to a good hotdog, especially with chili.”
“hm, i’m actually a little fiscally challenged. that’s how i say poor in a fancy way,” he jokes with a small smile as they walk. “chilli dog? damn, i don’t know if i can handle that. i’m a plain jane, a ketchup kinda guy.”
“ well my therapist would say that you’re meant to feel however you feel. if you’re disappointed in your brother that’s okay. ” taking a seat next to him eyes scanning his room in complete disarray slowly realizing that he’d packed up a lot of his things. “ i don’t know what he did but if it’s making you this upset then i’d think that it’s gotta be something pretty important. when something’s important it’s only natural to be upset about it. ”
he actually listens, finding reason in her voice. through the dark clouds that gathered at the forefront of his mind, he found her just loud enough to cut through. the suffocating prospect of everetts feelings, that right now as those dark clouds became darker, he was finally close to understanding his brother, was scary. reaching to the side blindly, he finds her hand and interlocks their fingers, not even turning to face her. a few long moments pass that feel like forever but no time at all and eventually he clears his throat, turning his face slightly to look over, “my family is the most important thing to me and i feel like, i have to try and fix this,” he sniffs, wiping his face with the arm that was free, “’cause when everyone else is running away from the disaster when they’re scared, it’s always me that’s running towards it to try and put it all back together again.”
“if you don’t get paid for it, you’re not a pro - just a guy with an adorable hobby.” she was glad that her random knowledge was actually helping someone and opened a small smile, “that’s some interesting paraphrasing, and dude why did you say that? now i’m crazy for a hotdog.”
“right, so what i’m hearing is that i just need to find someone to pay me for it?” he asks although he’s not serious, an amused expression on his face. easily impressed, he liked a girl who could appreciate a good hotdog and pressing the cap onto his pen, “then lets go, i’m already dealing with enough crazy, can’t have you going crazy on me too for the small price of a hotdog.”
“rock collecting, huh? that’ll definitely get you my vote,” she mocked him, but did find it interesting, “a guy that works with rocks is a geologist, maybe an amateur geologist?”
he did like rocks, that wasn’t a lie. “an amateur? what about a pro?” sounded more impressive, he notes it down with a wide-eyed, instant grin. “then i’ll put, very good at networking, i do love socialising... expert caterer... i can eat a lot of hotdogs,” he laughs.
standing there for a moment longer , cassidy didn’t know if he should just walk away ? he knew if it was him , he’d want the person standing in the doorway to go away . that it wouldn’t matter how close he was or not so close he was to someone . he didn’t like people seeing him at a low point . it was why he held so tightly onto his feelings . because at times , he didn’t even wanna see himself like that . although , asher wasn’t him and cassidy couldn’t help but feel like it’d be better to stay . he also knew , that even when he was in a low place and wanted everyone to go away , deep down he wished someone would stay anyways . instead of leaving asher alone with his thoughts , cassidy stayed there . “hey , “ cass muttered out , “ can i come in ? “ he asked , coming in anyways . seeing the tear filled eyes , cass wasn’t sure if he’d have all the right things to say but he did feel for the guy . sitting on the opposite side of the suitcase , cass looked over at asher . “ need help ? “ the question was broad but cassidy didn’t want to push him . “ i can help you pack ? or help you figure out whatever is going on ? help you get some of this mess cleaned up ? “ he said , looking around at the room before looking back at asher . “ hell , i can get you a mimosa if you want . “ he tired to joke .
the questions were coming but asher barely registered them because even though everything was plummeting into a state of chaos, he wasn’t sure that he was asking for help. that was the thing about him, he was the first to offer a helping hand but he’d always be the last to take one in return. instead his fingers tangle in his dark shoulder length hair, curls from sweat at each edge of his face as he shuts his eyes harshly before opening them again. hazel hues finally come to focus on cassidy who’s standing there inside his room and his mouth opens, a jaw that feels slack and dumbfound trying to find any words that work, “it’s not saturday,” the joke slips quiet and sad from his lips as he rests his elbows on his knees instead. “i can’t have a mimosa,” he sniffs, dragging his forearm across his face, “because it’s not saturday,” but he quickly resigns himself, the words slow, “i’m packed, i think. got everything i need.”
