how i meditate

i first write down all of the negativity that has been going on in my life in my meditation journal.

i then match my problems to which chakras are affected. i use this to know which parts of my body i should focus on.

i then write down my intention for the meditation. “with this meditation, i intend to forgive those who have caused me suffering” is a good example.

i then choose a space to meditate. usually it is at my altar, but if that isn’t possible, i try to choose a room that is comfortable and free of clutter. i also want to find a place that is near a window so i can absorb the energy of the sun or moon (depending on what is out that time of day).

i then light incense, make a cup of herbal tea, light a candle, and play high-vibrational music (i can usually find good ones on youtube) to make sure all of my five senses are ready to meditate (don’t worry – i’ll cover the sense of touch next).

i then choose one or several crystal(s) that are appropriate for what i’m meditating on (for example, i choose chalcedony if i’m meditating on how to address issues within my friendship circle). but no matter what it is, there is always a clear quartz in the mix because those are great for overall balance.

i then hold a crystal in my hand, preferably over the chakra that i’m focusing on.

i then close my eyes and focus on taking deep breaths. after a while, i begin to see visions, hear messages, and feel physical sensations.

once i feel like i’m satisfied by what i saw/heard/felt, i write down everything i sensed.

i repeat steps 7-9 until i’ve gone through all of my crystals.

i then read everything i wrote down. i write down affirmations based on my sensations and say them aloud (for example, if i see feel an unexplainable acceptance towards humanity, by affirmation would be “I love others.”

i then wrap up by putting out the incense/candle, finishing the tea, turning off the music, and putting away the crystals.

i express gratitude to the resources i used to meditate and go on with my day, just a little more self-aware. happy meditating!

Diana of the rounded moon

The Queen of all enchantments here,
