Have the best neighbours! Ben (two houses down) was out shoveling the sidewalk for 4 houses including ours. Charlie Brown had fun digging his nose in the sparkly, soft snow & attempting to walk through it, on our nite time-walk. Not looking forward to 2moros drive at 6am though. (at Northwest Calgary, Calgary, Alberta)

Dream post- Feb 8, 2018

Woke up a few times last night due to a restless pooch. But when I finally got down to getting some sleep, I had the most terrifying dream.

I was with my sister at a hotel, not sure where it was but there was a room within another room. I was staying in the inner bedroom and she was in the outer one. Adjoining this room was a hallway that had a water fountain in the middle of it. Dog owners were letting their dogs drink from the water fountain just outside our room. I remember thinking "I wish I had brought my dog" but then my sister said she was itchy. It was cold in our room and she had on a robe from the closet. I went to get the robe and when I pulled it out from the closet I noticed fleas all over it!

I threw the robe out the window and told my sister to throw hers out too. But by this time we were both scratching. I went into the hall and everyone was scratching and screaming. Someone said get into a cold shower and get the fleas off your body. So I got into the shower and scrubbed really hard.

While I was in the shower I noticed that I had bites on my legs, as I scrubbed my legs the bumps grew and what looked like a little worm started growing in each bump and then the bump would go red then get smaller as the worm entered by bloodstream!

I was terrified and at that point I screamed and woke myself up.

I haven't had a nightmare in a while, any clue what it means? So gross!!

I attended the 1st Fearless Women's Summit (by One Woman) this past Saturday in Calgary; 8 brave, confident women and 1 phenomenal 8 year old girl spoke to 300 women. Despite the intense weather and slippery roads (leading to the closure of our central highway), many of us stuck it through to the very end, and formed new friendships as a result.

The theme of the summit was empowering ourselves, facing fear and understanding when to say "NO". I really feel that the speakers spoke from their hearts, each with their own powerful messages to share, and while looking around at the audience I saw many women tearing, nodding in agreement, and listening intently. This summit will be heading across Canada, sharing these messages, and raising funds to help women across the planet to gain independence and confidence.

They will also have a workshop the next day for girls, between the ages of 8 and 14 to help build confidence, understanding and to inspire girls to be their very best.

I truly believe that this fearless summit is a MUST for women who are looking for direction in their lives, women who are looking for purpose and while at it friendships will be formed. If you have a chance to purchase a ticket and go, do it! You have nothing to lose, and so much to gain!
