i can’t even describe how much feedback means to content creators. likes and reblogs (especially reblogs since that actually gets our stuff circulating) are really great so please don’t get me wrong, but actual comments, whether it’s in our tags or as comments or asks, mean so much. a lot of content creators, including me, look at the tags and stuff on our posts, and seeing things as simple as “this is so pretty!!” mean a lot, you really have no idea. if you like someone’s work, please say something! it doesn’t have to be a huge deal, but even the smallest comment can mean a lot to someone who probably spent hours on whatever they created. we post things for free because we love it, but knowing people like it is really appreciated and really can mean the world to content creators. so not only is this a reminder, but it’s also a sincere thank you to anyone who’s ever complimented me on my work. it really warms my heart and is what makes me continue making things because i know i’m not the only one enjoying it

((And it’s because of you. Yes, you. Someone who is just waiting for the blog to answer another ask. Stop it. If you want ask blogs to continue then stop sitting on your lazy ass and ask some fucking questions.

I am seeing people who have a passion for developing and drawing their muses/characters slowly loose their love for what they do.

Stop fucking around and ask people questions, unless you want these people to loose the passion they love. I’m done with all of the wonderful people becoming depressed and upset because of you. Send asks, that’s what keeps a blog running.

Also, REBLOG SMALL ARTISTS ART. That’s how other blogs get noticed. Likes are just something that basically say, “I like this.” while reblogs are “I love this so much that I want it to be on my blog!”. The last thing I’ll say;

STOP FUCKING AROUND AND ASK PEOPLE QUESTIONS. PEOPLE CAN’T ANSWER QUESTIONS IF THERE ISN’T A SINGLE ONE IN THEIR INBOX. START TO LOOK AT THE SMALLER BLOGS AS WELL. IF YOU DO THIS, THE ASK BLOGS CAN CONTINUE.))

((Can I just add that while everything here has a point, an ask blogger should also work to entice and inspire asks. Sitting on your butt all day and posting nothing except “I still don’t have asks, please send some” won’t do much. You can however:

✓ Share a headcanon

✓ Make a small drawing or comic not ask related

✓ Create your own event

✓ Share a funny cultural thing about the country of your character

✓ Send [interactive] asks to others

Don’t be disheartened, because I’ve learned to deal with it after starting up with barely any asks ever coming in and now I’ve reached 150! I use all of the above to keep my blog entertaining and have a healthy fluctuation of incoming asks :) ))

When you get a ‘boring’ question or a ask you already answered think of something silly like idk your char can’t answer because he has his mouth full or he’s in the middle of a meeting or his gf picks up his phone instead and is like: Who the F is BRENDA?!

I cannot stress enough how important it is to tag your posts. Tumblr algorithm just isnt that good. You can subscribe to tags too to find new askblogs.

Okay reblog if you’re an artist who STRONGLY PREFERS reblogs with commentary

People are apparently under the impression that reblogging someone’s art and adding a comment is frowned upon and that can’t possibly be true, every artist I know of sees a reblog-comment as like the ultimate definitive reward for their hard work.

Obviously don’t feel bad for NOT adding a comment if you’re shy or just don’t know what to say, but if there’s something you would like to say about a drawing you’ve liked enough to reblog, I’m pretty sure most artists crave hearing it.

I think all content creators can relate to this.

In my opinion, I don’t think followers really understand how much your requests/likes/reblogs/etc. and random asks mean to me. It’s just so refreshing and nice to know that people enjoy what I’m doing and support me.

People that go the extra mile and send an ask or message letting me know they liked my stuff honestly makes my day. I love reading tags and stuff…it’s honestly so cute….

And people who ask about how I’m doing or send me random questions or cute asks….I just want you guys to know it honestly makes my day. I just love all the interaction and such. It makes running a blog so much more enjoyable.

And Fanart/Fanwork? Honestly that’s one of the greatest things to receive. To everyone that draws or writes, please don’t feel too insecure to send it end! No one is going to criticize you over quality. It’s so sweet that you even thought about making something…I will always appreciate it no matter what, and I’m sure all other content creators feel the same.
