Hi everypony! I'm in processes of making an ending to my blog, and I want to make it special. I want to get the ask-pony community involved with it. I finally reblogged everything I could (except for a post that was flagged as inappropriate, and the previous post). And to commemorate this reblog, here’s a pic based on the game “Minty Fresh Adventure,” which is what this blog was initially inspired by. I’m also using this to promote the conclusion fanfic, “Colgate’s Bizarre Adventure,” which will pretty much wrap up any loose ends and give the blog a proper send off.

When I first created this blog, I had tagged it as NSFW due to the profane language and potential gore. Unfortunately, due to the ban, I can no longer switch off the NSFW tag, so very few people will be able to see this. Well we all knew this day would come. Considering that a new MLP movie is being made, it’s no surprise that Hasbro would be cracking down on protecting their properties.

But seriously, this may be the end for the blog. I have a part time job now, plus I’m going to school, so I don’t get a whole lot of free time in general, let alone free time to draw. Plus the blog wasn’t too popular to begin with, for a lot of reasons, the big ones being the writing and the fact that it was in black and white.

I think people were put off by the lack of color as a form of laziness, but there was a reason behind it. Sadistic Colgate was meant to be a parody of old black and white horror movies and cartoons, such as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Disney’s The Mad Doctor. I had planned to make use of heavy shading and long shadows, like in the early posts, but the process of drawing that on art board and getting to a print shop to shrink it onto computer paper then scanning it was taking up a lot of my free time, so I simplified the art and cut the content down to single panels, which meant my original conception had to change.

The characters were based on the Pony Platforming Project game Minty Fresh Adventure made by Dragon-Mango. The game featured the canonical Minuette as a pony named Colgate who could control time but wanted to be a dentist, and Minuette was a crystal pony Twilight Sparkle look-a-like who was Colgate’s secretary. In fact, part of Colgate’s backstory was to feature her cleaning tooth-shaped rocks, like in the game. Their personalities were based on the ponies from “The Mentally Advanced Series,” and was actually planned to take place within the same universe. I ultimately decided that it would be funny that its setting be ambiguous, that way I could make meta-jokes about the brony community and other ask-blogs. As is the case with a lot of long-running fandoms, I became a lot less interested in the brony fandom and in pony-related stuff altogether.

With that being said, I had a bunch of story ideas meant for these two beloved characters I created, and I may write them and upload them in text-format. Only time will tell.
