Some ceramic trinket dishes from last month!
These are slightly curved inwards to help contain items from teabags to jewellery. :)
I have unsold work from my last market so the remainder of these dishes will be available via my online store along with plenty of other functional and sculptural wares, 3pm est tomorrow!
Daniel on Pier 48 (1978) photographed by Leonard Fink Leonard Fink (1930-1992) was an American photographer who documented his own LGBT culture in New York City from 1967 to 1992.He photographed the annual Pride Marches beginning with the first in 1970; the West Village's gay bar culture; and in particular the abandoned West Side piers where men cruised and had sexual encounters.
He neither published nor exhibited his work in his lifetime, but posthumously exhibitions have been held in the Schwules Museum in Berlin and at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art in New York City. A book, Leonard Fink: Coming Out, was published on the occasion of the latter exhibition. His work is held in the archive of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. (Source: Wikipedia)

Jesus Tapdancing Christ... THIS is a good welt pocket and the people who designed Simplicity 2895 ought to be blasted well ASHAMED of themselves for the crap way THEY wanted a welt pocket made. *SNARLS*
This is how I learned to do it and a good example of what you want to see in a short form tutorial: pinning, pressing, seam finishing, good fabric handling.
I would mention that you can make the pocket facing with a small panel of your matching fabric that is visible and the rest in a lighter fabric to reduce bulk. That's a lot of denim layers for comfort.
this is my fave post on this whole website

When I was young I had this book called people who work at night and as a little kid it was really comforting to know that there were people awake while I was asleep (especially bakers for some reason).
