This is EXACTLY what silent salt was trying to avoid when he and elder faerie made the silver tree. He didn't want the power of the virtues to once again be bestowed upon a select few ( whether deemed "worthy" or not ). He wanted that power to be shared with the ENTIRE WORLD so no one individual would have to bear the strength and responsibility of the soul jam.

I think he knew how the soul jam takes a toll on its vessel and wanted to make sure that nobody else had to deal with that burden.

Is it me or is the entire plot of crk kinda made of these individuals trying to better the world by doing whatever they think is right but there are multiple opinions on how to make the world a better place and everyone kinda just ignores these different opinions to do whatever they want so while they were all trying to prevent a big fuck up they all collectively cause a catashrophic fuck up not because they were all wrong but because nobody rose criticism on said opinions

I'm kind of upset that devsis decided to confirm the First Witches canon to the kingdom timeline not because I didn't want the crk and crwc timelines to intersect but because having it revealed THIS early kinda kills the whole excitement of finding out where the beast-baking witches are. I wish the "Witches who baked the virtues/beasts = The First Witches" theory just stayed as a widely accepted headcanon for a little bit more

one of my many roman empires when it comes to shadow milk is the way the game goes literally as far as it can to also tie his sexuality to the freedom he gains after breaking away from the fount of knowledge - and i don't mean "sexuality" to refer to his sexual orientation, but rather to the free expression of any action that could maybe potentially be taken as sexual.

(and i will say. of course these examples will be very easy to deny as this is. a silly cookie game. for general audiences)

but my point is.

look. at his perfectly skin tight jester costume. and not just that. look at those "transition" sprites when he had just given up the fount of knowledge. the most obvious change there is the fact that it looks like he literally just. took off his big robe to remain with that skin tight body suit. and it doesn't even resemble the jester it is just plain. like. like. that is as close to a "revealing" outfit that this silly cookie game for children can get to showing.

and it's not just that. shadow milk is also pretty much the only character who borderline flirts with some cookie or another every time he shows up. like. yes, those lines do also have a specific message behind them which make sense in the context they're being said in (cough "i kept squeezing and squeezing your soft submissive soul") but they are also. definitely flirty by themselves. like he says these kind of lines to elder faerie in beast yeast 2, the entire climax of beast yeast 8, in the way he talks to wind archer, in the way he talks to silent salt in the hotel lore ("our knight" who "won't spare a reply for a lowly jester like me"). and again this mannerism is very specific to the master of deceit, the shadow milk who broke free from the fount of knowledge. almost as if the mere implication of him expressing any sort of sexual (selfish) desire is only even thinkable if he is completely free from his divinely assigned purpose.

and again. these things don't necessarily and exclusively point to shadow milk cookie expressing sexuality per se. but (and specifically the part about the fount of knowledge apparently undressing) i can't help but feel like there's a liiitttleeee tiny bit of that also sprinkled onto him. again extrememly softly and definitely very easy to deny (see "the silly cookie game for general audiences" part) but there's a littleeee bit of something there.

(and don't even get me started on the way they deliberately drew him as attractive in the timeline of fate trailer (am i claiming the artists too thirst for this cookie? maybe))

like. he suffered so much to break free from the fount of knowledge. he should get to be a little freaky. (and to show off that waist and those thighs) as a treat.

Another thing i'd like to point out is that these "flirteaous" interactions are all exclusively made with male members of the cast. Devsis is not subtle i fear

I kinda wonder if shamil is aware of homosexuality/queerness as a concept. Cookies seem to be unaware of the concept of queerness as gender was probably squished into the Cookie society without even a physiological base but maybe he knows of these more human things given how close he was implied to be with his creator

White Lily's trauma is worse when you remember how much she loved cookiekind. She dedicated her life to finding ways to benefit cookiekind, to make them more durable, to find out the reason for their existence. Then she witnesses beings much more powerful than them eat them alive, autonomous beings being treated like disposable objects to be enjoyed as a snack with no regards to their feelings or free will, and not only that, they were created for this purpose. This whole time she was distressed by how fragile and tiny they were, so seeing beings much more powerful than them, their own creators, breathing life into someone just to eat them...

Of course witnessing a sentient creature being eaten alive would be traumatic for anyone, but it must've been so much worse for someone who loves their own species as much as White Lily does

The Bringer of Happiness bears a lot more colour than Eternal Sugar Cookie, which actually sheds light to their methods of happiness.

The Bringer of Happiness, aka pre-corrution Eternal Sugar has a milder tone of pink compared to her present self and also has a rainbow halo; being overall more colourful yet her colourfulness isn't as eye-soring as Eternal Sugar. (Not to mention how her overall vibe is a lot more motherly)

Eternal Sugar Cookie on the other hand posesses a much more monochromous colour palette, relying heavily on pink and white and her pink is brighter and more eye-catching than her previous appearance.

The Bringer of Happiness encompasses a broader kind of happiness that may differ from individual to individual, reflected by her diverse colour palette incoperating not just pinks and purples but also blues, yellows and reds. Her halo isn't that of a typical angel but is a rainbow resting on the back of her head. Rainbows are formed as visible white light breaks into its different colors, all of a different frequence. Her rainbow halo can perhaps be interpreted as the happiness on the world breaking down to its many different shapes.

While Eternal Sugar Cookie only knows and recognises one type of happiness that can only be achieved via sloth. This gives her a monochromous colour palette as any hardship or any kind of new experience is dismissed because ''it'll make them unhappy'', the ideal world is only constructed with white and pink at esc's hands. Her halo looks... plastic, artificial. Her wings don't have those different colours anymore, they are smaller, even. Her vision of happiness has shrunk itself to a rigid definition and it shows.

The smaller pair of wings she had on her hips has also turned into a pair of demon wings. The interesting thing about her demon wings is how those wings are mostly purple with a blue heart shape on each of them. From this point on I have probably stepped into the over-interpratation domain but if the pinks and white in Eternal Sugar Cookie's (current) design symbolize happiness/sloth then the blues and pruples on her wings may symbolise the surpressed (or expressed) pain and sadness over the lost authonomy and will of the residents of her garden. They are demon wings for a reason, they serve to show the silent anguish of the Garden's residents, thus making her a ''demon'' in a sense

I like to think about probably Dark Enchantress became a MEME in the cr universe. Like you can't tell me that the favourite activity of the middle school kids in that Earthbread right now isn't making "wanting to overthrow god" jokes or shouting "I WANT TO GO TO DARK ENCHANTRESS'S CASTLE" in the school hallways at full volume.
