To the surprise of nobody who knows me, I've been thinking about "The Magnus Archives" again.

More specifically, I've been thinking about Jonah Magnus and the way some of the fandom, myself included, interacts with him.

Spoilers below.

Firstly, it's good he isn't real. If he was, I would prefer he remain on a different continent and not even know I exist; on the other hand, I'm deeply curious what sort of awful things he'd insert into my brain if I got on his bad side. Additionally, if he was real, that would mean the Magnus Institute was real, and if that were the case (and if I lived in London), I would be so, so tempted to sneak into the archives to read some of the statements for myself. Refer back to "awful things he'd insert into my brain".

Secondly, my understanding is that Jonathan Sims, The Author, did not expect Jonah/Elias to be as popular as he is: the funny thing about that is that the man wrote Jonah/Elias reacting Like That to being compelled, recorded it, and posted it on the Internet, a place known for being absolutely helpless against old men being freaks. He also likes cake, which is simply amusing to me.

Unfortunately, not all of them are residential. I would love to get to someday tell someone, "Oh, I live in one of the apartments in the Gothic New England Cathedral on such-and-such street.

i can sing most of what i listen to, unless it’s in another language or too low. i can’t sing a lot of the classic rock i listen to and it makes me very sad. i sing billie eilish really well

I accidentally let in a swarm of June beetles that thought the indoor lights were the moon

I've been chased around the backyard during my walk by some sort of insect (a sweat bee, I think)

A wasp got stuck in the house

My father removed said wasp, only for a second, different wasp to take the first's place

I do not like bugs*.

*Although, if I'm going to have a Jane Prentiss incident, I would prefer it happens before the end of April.
