Random theories and ideas

I just realized something from Day 2 that no one questioned: Harlequin broke chains with a knife...if he didn't cut it then the sheer strength he has to break the chains off shows he is actually very gentle/playful around MC. He could literally break us if he lost control...

The 2nd half is just me rambling:

Harlequin teases but it's his way testing the waters of your real intentions or affections. If you can actually handle the real him without running away...he seems put off guard. He is afraid to grow close in fear of you disappearing like the last time he let his walls come down around someone dear to him.

He might be generally scared to grow close to someone only to have them die by forces outside his control. For fear of losing them to Pierrot, he wants someone that is solely his, who is LOYAL to HIM.

Interesting thought: What if Harlequin provokes Pierrot to attack him cause he still feels guilty over what happened to Columbina. Where he knows Pierrot hates him and lets him hurt him as repentance for her death?

The Freak Circus - Theory or Fanfic idea

I have an interesting TFC theory: What if we are completely wrong about who killed what we perceived as Pierrot's first love was. What if Harlequin was the first to fall for a human, but Pierrot mistook obsession for love just because the person was kind towards him and the others.

Since Pierrot is stronger, he took Harlequin's lover for himself, claiming that this person was his destiny. But in reality he was the one hurting them and forcing his obsession to love him back.

The one touching, who Jester refers to as Columbina, might have been telling Harlequin she couldn't stand Pierrot touching her anymore and thanked him for ending the nightmare that was her stalker.

This is just a little random theory IDK if it actually makes any sense oo;
