We are finally free

I think people are hating too much on the finale. Was is the best finale ever? No. Was it the best episode ever? No. But it was okay, and it gave us the opportunity to continue the story, because it's a quite open ending. And the Winchesters found peace at last. ("There'll be peace when you are gone") Sam got to live the "normal" life he was meant to live, and Dean died during a hunt, which he probaby should have done long ago honestly. They stopped fearing death, they stopped fearing losing each other. They stopped f*cking with the Universe and its balance to keep living or bring each other back. They accepted their lives and themselves, and then their deaths. No more fear, they have found peace together in Heaven, and they have all they ever dreamed of there. And who made Heaven perfect for them? Jack and Cass. So without actually being in the episode, Cass and Jack did a lot for them. I think it's so beautiful❤

“We have to keep living”

No, but the thing about Dean saying that at the start and dying later on is that it seems like a cop-out to dealing with Cas’s confession, and seems like they’re playing Dean off as not caring, but I feel like it was the opposite.

Cas sacrificed himself in 15x18 to give Dean more time in his life. He spent his last moments telling Dean why he thought he deserved to live, why he was such a great man. Dean showed he believed Cas in 15x19 when he told Chuck he wasn’t a killing machine and let him live. Cas’s confession was a whole “I love you. I know you have had a rough year. I know you just want to live your own life. I’m giving up mine so that you can live yours.”

To me, Dean wanted to honour Cas’s sacrifice. While the whole “we have to keep living or their sacrifices mean nothing” sounds so lazy, that’s it. That was as far as an “I love Cas too” that Dabb was going to give us. An open-to-interpretation “I love Cas back”.

Because Cas gave up his life so Dean can live his own out. Dean, we saw later in 15x20, thought that once he died, he was going to hell. Dean was also convinced that Cas was stuck in the Empty. Basically, Dean thought he would never see Cas again, and therefore will never get a chance to tell Cas he felt the same. So what can he do? Live the life Cas wanted him to. Honour his sacrifice, show Cas that his love meant something to him.

Dean went back to pick up Miracle, the dog. He had a job application form on his desk. The vamp-mimes were supposed to be his last hunt before he got settled into a normal life.

Dying for someone is easy. Living for somebody is harder, especially when we know how devastated Dean gets whenever Cas dies. Dean is pushing through, trying to find every inch of happiness he can find (the dog, the pie fest thing) and live life. Really live it, breathe it in, because this – because living a full life was the only way Dean had to tell Cas that he loved him too.

(Which is also why it just sucks that they killed Dean off like that. He was ready to lead a good life, and Dabb made Cas’s sacrifice pointless.)

I cried A LOT! The ending couldn't be more sad and beautiful. The best is how Cass and Jack made Heaven perfect for Dean and Sam❤ This show will forever be in my heart, it has actually changed me as a person and taught me so much. I couldn't be more grateful❤❤❤

Mood waiting for Supernatural finale be like

Not only have we got canon Destiel now, we also have a perfect example/definition of true, genuine love. If another person changes you for the better, and if you know them better than they know themselves, then it's true love. Also when you realise it's not about "having" the other person, but to enjoy every moment with them and offering them your love no matter what, no matter how they feel about you.❤❤❤
