Hello, sorry for the inactivity. I was... busy on a vacation where I had limited access to my phone, so I couldn't really draw much, although I very much yearned to draw something digitally. I'm back though! Where I was, I did draw a lot traditionally, and honestly, it helped me improve, and I even came back drawing a lot faster! I am very proud of myself.

These two above took like 3 hours, which is big to me since before it took a while for me to complete one drawing. One is of a friend I met recently, she's pretty cool. The other is a Pearl drawing I got done today :3 I think I can finally say I have an art style as well, I see consistency. Well, of my art style, I am just noticing a consistency personally.

Here are WIPs, sketches I did before I went on my vacation, some will probably stay as sketches.

A week or two ago, a friend of mine sent me a comment on TikTok on a video of the 2024 Olympics showing a dance routine with both a hip hop dancer and a ballet dancer. The comment said "Pearl and Amethyst" and I thought "omg I need to draw this" and so I did.

This drawing stayed as a sketch for a few days since I was intimidated by giving it cleaner lineart but eventually I got around to it (today) and finished it up. I'm very pleased with how the proportions turned out, giving the characters slightly more realistic proportions. I also thought it was really cool to finally see Amethyst and Pearl dress in ways that embody the types of dance that they're drawn to. I didn't expect to make this as colorful or dramatic as I did, but it just kinda veered that way and I'm okay with that. I wonder what Opal would look like with a fusion of these outfits haha. Maybe I'll draw that at some point.
