EMERGENCY FANFIC COMMISSIONS
Hi there! These kinds of post are somewhat hard for me to make but, given the financial situation I'm in rn it's become necessary.
I made a post explaining my situation some time ago (which you can see here for more details) and I set up a fundraiser to help me pay and continue my PhD studies. Since that has been proven to be fruitless, and also the company I'm currently writing for is not requesting more scripts from me atm, I've come up with this as another option to get the money I need (almost 400€). Now, since September is less than a week away from now, I won't be able to pay in time, but after contacting staff I made sure that I can pay the remaining of my tuition fees in 5 different payments spread out through the final months of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, an the first payment has been pushed back a little, but that means I still need at least 60€ to pay some time in October.
For this reason, I'm opening up fanfic commissions.
Now, as stated in the image above, please read carefully the instructions before requesting a fanfic (don't worry, it's all fairly easy and, if you are familiar with commissioning, nothing that you haven't seen before):
I reserve the right to decline any request that I might not be comfortable with writing or just something that it's from a piece of media I'm not familiar with (in other circumstances I wouldn't mind doing research for, idk, Ace Attorney, bc I think it's a good opportunity to get into new things but rn I don't have the time to do so)
Since I have little to no portfolio to show for my work (most of what I've written over the last few years I've kept to myself), it doesn't feel right to me to ask for a deposit at the beginning of the process yet. However, if I send you a first draft to ask you how you're liking the writing and if you have any changes you'd like to make and you're okay with it, I think then it's fair to ask for at least a 20% deposit (to make sure that you won't bail on me). If you don't vibe with my writing after that first draft and decide you don't want to commission me anymore, you're more than free to go. You won't have to pay and I won't have to make a refund in that case. No harsh feelings.
You have the right to decide if you want to keep the completed work for yourself (in which case I'll send you a PDF file) or if you want me to share it and upload it on my Ao3. If you choose the latter, you also have to decide if you want me to acknowledge you by name in the notes as the commissioner or remain anonymous
The list of fandoms I can write for is longer than what I put in the advertising image above. I just wanted to focus on the fandoms I'm more active at the moment, however writing this I realized I forgot to include One piece. If you still want something outside of the list feel free to ask
You get to choose everything that you want me to write about. From the characters, the plot, the tropes... everything. Of course I can come up with my own things to put a spin on it, after all I'm the one writing it, but it'll all be easier for both of us if you give me as much details as possible, especially if you're requesting something with original characters (I'll ask a million questions regardless just to make sure)
For now, payments will be done through my Ko-fi page. Everything that I put as TBD means "to be discussed", so if you want something a bit more specific with the word count or with anything else, again, communication is key here
Feel free to ask me anything before commiting!! It won't be a sealed deal until I start writing and you make the first 20% deposit, so, really, and I can't stress this enough, don't hesitate to come over my dms, inbox or even contact me via email at [email protected] with your queries
Here's my Ko-fi for the payments!
Support aster_ego On Ko-fi. Ko-fi lets you support the people and causes you love with small donations
it's still very rough around the edges bc i set it all up fairly recently so don't hold it against me
So... Yeah! Thank you very much for your time and I can't wait to start receiving your commissions ^^ If you can't afford it, don't worry about it, just sharing this post is greatly appreciated <33
