=( bad news guys….

my tablet is dying- 

I do all my art on an iPad Pro which had started about a week ago showing signs of the touch screen suddenly not responding in a majority of the bottom of the screen near the home button as well as the apps suddenly closing, again most likely due to faulty touch screen signals. Making using it for something as detailed as art incredibly hard/nearly impossible.

I’ve never gotten my iPad wet in any way, and although it was dropped once, that was almost a year ago and should not be causing this sudden malfunction.

Saturday I took it down to the Apple Store Genius Bar for a hopeful repair… to be informed that I was no longer under warranty and the costs for replacing what is ‘maybe broken sensors’ out of warranty is almost as much as the cost of a new tablet.

I do not have the money to afford a new tablet, my current one was purchased during a much more financially stable time of my life. Money in general is tight and I live off a shoe string budget these days….

I wish I didn’t have to ask of this, that I was in a situation where I can buy a new tablet without issue- but if you enjoy my art and would like to help me get a new tablet, my ko-fi is here  and my PayPal is here

Bad news. Really bad news.

Well, I’ve got some really bad news. 

My dad just quit his job out of the fucking blue. 

Apparently he got chewed out at work over something stupid (that wasn’t his fault actually) and instead of just dealing with it, because despite this one thing he was getting a paycheck every week, he decided he’d rather just quit his job instead.

So now food is honestly the LAST thing we’re all worried about. After he gets his paycheck tonight that’ll be it until he can somehow find a new job. And with how stubborn my dad is, we have no clue when that’s going to be. So I don’t know what we’re going to do? We might have to start just selling our stuff.

We were struggling to get groceries this week and now I don’t know if we’re going to be able to pay our bills. Our power might get shut off and then I’d no longer be able to work on commissions or even try to get any money to help. 

And with this new bullshit ‘adult filter’ tumblr forced onto everyone I don’t think we’re going to be getting any help here either. But I have to try.

Update:

Dad found a job! He started today but he won’t get paid until Saturday at the latest. So this week is going to be really hard. We’ve got to pay for his gas to get to and from work, not to mention bills this week.

Any donations are a god send! Thanks to everyone that’s helped so far! You don’t know how much my whole family appreciates it. <3

Slight Update?

Dad’s paycheck just….never got put into the bank even tho they said it should come in no later that Saturday??? 

Mom said he’s going to have to go talk to the payroll people about this because wtf?? He didn’t work a full week but still!

Dad said this kind of fuckery is common with this company, and he’s not looking forward to this shit. They’re known for messing shit up and taking ages to fix things. And that if he’d had any other options he’d have started working for anyone else.

More update BS:

Payroll gave dad the runaround but they assure him that he’ll be added to the payroll by the end of Monday. But with how well they’ve kept promises so far we’re literally just waiting to see if they’re being real or not.

I know everyone is super tired of seeing this post cross their dash (honest to god I’m tired of having to reblog it too but it can’t be helped) but donations have totally stopped since before(?) Thursday and with this most recent bullshit courtesy of dad’s work we’re still surviving by the skin of our teeth. 

Not to mention that even if the whole payroll issue IS solved by the end of today, dad will only be getting paid for about 4 days. That will probably only cover the cost of maybe the water/gas and maybe the internet bill if we’re lucky. We still have electricity and car insurance to handle (there’s others but those are all the most important).

I know not everyone who sees this will be able to donate. But please PLEASE reblog this! It’s only getting maybe 10 reblogs a day, which sounds like a lot but really really isn’t. We need help and have resorted to literally selling some of our stuff to get bill money.

I’m working as fast as I can to get thru my current commissions list so I can hopefully get more to help out! But I’m only one woman and I can only draw so fast.
