You know how aircraft carriers are big ships that act as mobile airbases for smaller aircraft?
I bet a mecha version of that would be cool. By which I mean it both carries mecha, and is a mecha itself.

Due to arguments about how to fansub this line, I have determined this should be a nice middle ground.
2027 will be like yes I'll have the chainsaw devil burger with the war devil fries
im obsessed with this photo is from a play rendition of The Gilda Stories, a Black lesbian vampire book from 1991 by author Jewelle Gomez
Happy Black History Month to this photo specifically
when speaking to my warlord friends: it's been getting easier to raze whole cities to ash recently if you haven't noticed when speaking to my martialist friends: ive been practicing my waterfall cut when speaking to my hypnotist friends: we all agree that the substance of the self is mutable and transient
fuck i just told the warlords that ive been honing my mind like a blade and the hypnotists that before the face of true might everything else is as dust i need to salvage this fast
a “princessjob”? you’re disgusting. princesses should never have to do a job
Talking as if "combat" and "roleplay" are different things is anti-TTRPG.
if your game's conflict scenes are wholly divorced from the story, just play make believe. don't even bother playing a game with rules for conflict scenes if you're not gonna try to connect them. that's like saying the songs in musical theatre are separate from the plot; like saying that fight scenes don't advance the plot in action movies; like spoken word doesn't hammer home the point of a song. like, c'mon, it's basic story telling! even random encounters tell a story (even if you don't like them)! some of my favorite ttrpg quests have been initiated only after rolling the same random encounter multiple times
i fear a lot of you who say there is a "masc" shortage only want a cis skinny white girl with short hair and cannot handle the concept of a hairy butch who takes testosterone, has had top surgery, is a person of colour, has big muscles, uses he/him pronouns, refers to themself as a dyke, or a tranny, or is a trans female butch.
hell, most of you won't even say the word butch. you want a dumbed down, acceptable version of butch lesbianism, and the reality of the matter will not accept that.
why is it that in 90% of posts like this, the go-to example for a "scary, socially subversive butch" is a transmasc butch on T. My fat butch on E is just as (if not more, in the majority of lesbian spaces) subversive as a transmasc butch. She rejected everything about being masculine as a man, and created her own masculinity just to get less respect from her own community. Why is every butch with a weird gender assumed to be transmasc everywhere I go. It's just frustrating to have to see posts going "butches can be trans too! help every butch in your life get on T!" I don't expect other people to understand what it's like to have to put up with the subtle excising of transfems from being butchfemme. Logging onto this website only to have to see your entire relationship erased from public consciousness because you had the gall to commit the sin of being born with a penis

it was interesting seeing a bunch of the big name D&D youtubers going "I'm gonna be fully switching to pathfinder now!" or "I'm gonna do variety ttrpg content!" when the whole OGL debacle was happening and then they just. immediately switched back to 5e when the OGL stuff ended
While people like Brennan are just genuinely kinda dumb and think 5e is a truly generic system i do think it comes down to views, a good chunk of the ppl who watch 5e content don’t play the game and recognize the name cuz its the ttrpg, so if you talk about, lets say Kids on Bikes, it doesn’t draw as many eyes.
I think the most attention i’ve seen towards non-D&D tabletops is when channels already strongly established for other reasons talk about them, eg Overly Sarcastic Productions’ video on non-D&D ttrpgs, which i highly recommend to this day btw, but most non-ttrpg youtubers are more likely to create D&D content because its what they personally recognize (eg dougdoug’s chat dungeon videos), which leads to a weird feedback loop.
Anyways, to the yugioh players in the audience MBT yugioh has actually talked about WOTC’s and D&D’s hegemony on the space before, and even actually cameo’d in an indie ttrpg (Perfect Draw) so shoutouts him
I think it's very important to both celebrate recent victories, and to not forget that there's still a lot of issues that needed addressing. As Mamdani takes New York, Palestinians are facing winter -- violence is still happening, supplies are scarce and expensive, and Gaza's infrastructure has been severely impacted from bombing. The people there need our help more than ever to keep themselves warm and healthy as days get colder.
Original post.
If you'd like to help a large, verified family in Gaza, please consider donating to my young friend Nader. Him and his family need money for food and shelter, and are saving up to leave the strip once they're able to. His fundraiser is currently at 89% -- so, so close to their goal!
FUNDRAISER.
We are not okay. The war has stopped, but the suffering hasn't. It continues. Everything is difficult, everything is unbearable. It's truly unbearable. We are all suffering here. We need help. Please don't ignore us. We are asking you to donate to us and save us from this hell. Please donate to us. Please.
What Nader and his family are going through is unbearable. They endure constant suffering even after the false ceasefire Israel claims to uphold. There is daily bombing in Gaza. Nader needs money to survive. They truly deserve to live. Please donate to them now.
Everyone, please provide Nader with a little money. They deserve to live just like us. Please donate whatever you can to help them and get them out of Gaza so that Nader can complete his education and his father, Ahmed, can receive treatment for cancer. Please donate to him.
Please continue to support Nader and his family. They need our support in every way. Please donate whatever you can to Nader now. Everything can help greatly. Please donate now.
Please donate to Nader now. He needs all the support, every donation, and every bit of help. Please donate now.
Now, guys, a place was bombed by a plane. The sound was absolutely terrifying. The Zionists are lying about the ceasefire; they bomb and kill at any time. Please donate to us so we can get out of here. Please donate now.
transmascs benefit from transmisogyny
Men benefit from misogyny even while marginalized. It’s almost like Black feminists been saying the same thing bout Black men for decades and Black men was crying bout destroying the sanctity of Black families like trans men cry about “infighting and trans unity”
The Combahee River Collective Statement (1977) on why Black men struggle to support Black feminism
The reaction of Black men to feminism has been notoriously negative. They are, of course, even more threatened than Black women by the possibility that Black feminists might organize around our own needs. They realize that they might not only lose valuable and hardworking allies in their struggles but that they might also be forced to change their habitually sexist ways of interacting with and oppressing Black women. Accusations that Black feminism divides the Black struggle are powerful deterrents to the growth of an autonomous Black women’s movement.
Tumblr user spyrothesquish-0006 (2005)
Yeah if Black men benefit from misogynoir there's no reason to believe that trans men don't benefit from transmisogyny.
The fact both Black cis men and white trans men sit there and cry about how feminism "divides" the struggle in the same way white cishet men say feminists hating on men "isn't helping their cause" is not coincidence.
It's always the same kind of nonsense excuse for it too. "I face hardship too! And you're ignoring that!"
And it's like...no? I'm literally just centering women instead of you because the stakes are much higher, at least, in reality where the rest of us are. Trans women face more violence and that's doubly true for Black trans women. That is a fact. We are not "all equally out of the frying pan and into the fire"
Trans women of color, who are among the most likely targets of violence, see statistics that reflect their reality co-opted to bolster the idea that all women are facing the same level of danger. Yet support from mainstream white feminists for the issues that directly impact trans women has been at best minimal, and often nonexistent.
- Mikki Kendall, Hood Feminism
And now trans men are co-opting this statistics too? So that they too can pretend we all face the same level of danger?
That's transmisogyny!!!
Decentering Black women has never helped Black women either and as an anti-racist I see no reason to keep doing that.
Thinking otherwise just to save yourself?
That's privilege!!!
And guess how often trans men center trans women of color 💀💀
What's worse? The entitlement. That extra layer of privilege. Expecting trans women and especially Black trans women to decenter their actual lived realities in exchange for validating the feelings of trans men.
And to that I say if you're so worried about whatever issue(s)you're facing (racism, transphobia, classism, etc) then you should center women in that struggle too, we all know they're facing more danger than men are.
To quote The Combahee River Collective Statement again:
In “A Black Feminist’s Search for Sisterhood,” Michele Wallace arrives at this conclusion: We exists as women who are Black who are feminists, each stranded for the moment, working independently because there is not yet an environment in this society remotely congenial to our struggle—because, being on the bottom, we would have to do what no one else has done: we would have to fight the world. [2] Wallace is pessimistic but realistic in her assessment of Black feminists’ position, particularly in her allusion to the nearly classic isolation most of us face. We might use our position at the bottom, however, to make a clear leap into revolutionary action.
If Black women were free, it would mean that everyone else would have to be free since our freedom would necessitate the destruction of all the systems of oppression.
And therein lies proof of yet another way trans men utilize their privilege: asking for the attention, time, and labor of women who's freedom will not be won by fighting for the rights of anyone but women.
What's worse? When you disagree with those transmascs they paint you as a petty, hateful feminazi/radfem who just hates men and loves causing community discourse!!
That's transmisogyny!!
Anyway.
The oppression of transfemmes isn't build on the oppression of transmascs so liberating transmascs won't lead to the liberation of transfemmes. But the oppression of transmascs is built on the same systems that oppress trans femmes.
We should all have solidarity with one another through the structures of oppression we face whether it be race, transphobia, class, ableism, colonization, etc.
And that solidarity should also stretch into allyship and understanding where it intersects with the structures we don't face. We should be uplifting those of us who face the highest levels of persecution and violence.
Likewise this kind of praxis should lead us all right back to the conclusion that the Combahee River Collective came to. The common denominator is Black women. Thats who we need to be uplifting and fighting for.
Black intersex women, Black trans women, Black indigenous women, Black immigrant women, Black disabled women, etc.
Black women are capable of facing every single intersection of oppression and it's Black women who face the highest rates of violence across nearly all of those intersections and I'm saying this as an Ojibwe two spirit who knows better than to act like a afro-indigenous women don't exist.
If Black women were free to be Black, to be women, to be disabled, trans, fat, old, intersex, to be indigenous, etc then we all would be free to be those things.
If all Black women were safe, all the rest of us would be, too.
Can the same be said of liberating transmascs? I didn't think so.
The fact transmascs demand to be centered just because they are trans is proof of their privilege, transmisogyny, and ignorance as men who fear what transfeminism means to their privilege of constantly being centered. You know, rather than seeing transfeminism as a liberation movement that would eventually lead us all to safety.
FUCK this was satisfying to read thank you so much.
