Welcome to my blog.

I’m Eli, though on tumblr I’ll go by astrylx or stryl.

I am an autistic and transgender opera singer, with a special interest of music (especially ethnomusicology). While not on the same level as my interest in music, I also fixate heavily on religion and literature.

I am an adult, so while I don’t really post any adult content, please keep this in mind.

I post whatever I feel like and don’t have a them to my blog, so be prepared for an influx of whatever.

I do not have a DNI list as I don’t really believe in them, but people who piss me off will be blocked.

crap, i don't know enough dance terminology to make this coherent, but the way they've been utilizing going en pointe in act 2 is fascinating. like, aside from when they're doing turns and stuff like that, all the women are walking around on the flat part like regular people. but then dracula bursts in and everyone is down in the dark except lucy, who is now on her tippy toes and basically floating across the floor to him in a trance and the contrast is so eerie

continuing the trend of being both sensual and beautiful and horrifying, the drac+lucy pas de deux is also fantastic.

also, repeated theme the way dracula just kind of flings them around at times, like they're not dance partners but just toys to be played with and literally tossed aside. in the jonathan one he just like yote him 15 feet or something crazy across the stage, and in this one he's just positioning her like a ragdoll, the choreo is so good

Supernatural Live Blog - S.5 E.14 - My Bloody Valentine

Hey yall. It’s um. Been a while. Sorry for that. I haven’t been doing the greatest and certain shows can definitely impact that so I’ve been avoiding SPN. I’m doing a lot better now. I meant to post this earlier but I got unexpectedly busy so… here we are.

This episode appears to be another seasonal episode, specifically for Valentines Day. I don’t tend to love those but I’ll give this one a chance. In excited to be watching again.

These two on a date are kinda like me any time I interact with anyone. The interaction is so awkward, which I fear is my vibe… oh, never mind, they’re kissing. A lot. And. Oh. Never-mind, not me at all…

They’re eating each other wow. I genuinely don’t know how to react. I take back everything I said about them at first.

Sam expecting Dean to go out on Valentine’s Day and Dean not planning to… this interaction is hilarious. But also I am with Sam, Dean does seem off. He seems tired and kind of out of it. Oh it’s probably everything from last episode? He’s still dealing with that?

Sam immediately sensing something off, trust your instincts my man.

“Hey… be my valentine?” Love that.

Them going through the organs is cool.

Enochian heart?? We dealing with angels here??!

Cas appearing before Dean even finished talking, literally right in his face, I love him…

Neither of them knowing quite how to hang up, all awkward…

CHERUB! CHERUB MENTION! I’m assuming here they’re following more the Jewish and Christian interpretations of cherubim? They’re typically more guardians though, and the idea of them as Cupid comes more from putti (which yes, cherubim are often portrayed with/as/in correlation/etc with putti but they’re different)

“Of garden the Cupid would come to pollinate” like the Garden of Eden? Which cherubim protected?

Also why is Cas staring at Dean and his burger- AND WHY DIES DEAN NOT WANT IT? AND WHY DOES C A S WANT IT?

I am uncomfortable already. “I don’t like it” “No one likes it.” CAN CONFIRM

He’s crying and seems confused?

I love them making Cas, the most socially inept, do this.

Dean is so pissed. Angels and demons have meddled in his and Sam’s lives and now he’s finding out they meddled in his parents? Made them love each other and then caused their deaths?

Oh oh oh oh. Is it Gluttony perhaps? I feel like it could be?

“I could smell you.” That’s not great, Sam. I mean I could tell too, but by looking, not by smelling.

Sam’s addiction getting the best of him… don’t do it don’t do it don’t do it. Also that doesn’t look like his eyes in the knife but I can’t tell whose they are.

So um. I forgot they already killed the Seven Deadly Sins in a way that was super fucking disappointing and upsetting so I cast it from my mind… had I not forgotten I could probably have figured out the truth, that it was Famine. I had a feeling it was a horseman but then I thought Gluttony fit better, so…

Famine being able to eat demons is super cool.

“You better lock me down.” He remembers what happened last time he was locked down yet he still feels it needs to happen again. Sam…

Cas you can’t go saying this shit to people.

“You’re saying you’re well adjusted?” “God no, I’m just well fed.”

NO NO NO DARN IT NO! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT! SAM! Fuck, I hate this I hate this I hate this.

Living for this critique on America’s consumerism culture. He’s so right by the way.

Sam here for his brother ahhh- even ravaged with hunger he’s going to come for his family.

Sam managing to resist?! Ah!!

Also Sam’s mouth is way too cleanly applied with blood right now.

SAM CHOKING HIM OUT AND DESTROYING HIM WITH THE SOULS INSIDE HIM THAT’S SO COOL!!

And now he’s going through withdrawal again this hurts. His screaming hurts.

Jensen I love your facial acting so much- this scene is killing me- Dean literally praying for once. Praying for help for him and his brother. Ow.

This episode was better than expected. Glad they didn’t completely ruin cherubim. My soul hurts now. Also I love that this is the valentines episode and it’s episode 14 I see you supernatural.

The episode isn’t awful, but it is kind of hard and I have a feeling it will get worse next episode. It is a funny episode for Cas though if that’s any consolation.
