Li Shangyin, from When Will I be Home? (tr. by Kenneth Rexroth)
Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri is one of the leading painters of Western Desert Art, transforming the sacred geography of Pintupi Country into mesmerising fields of rhythmic dots, diamonds and rectilinear grids. Rather than functioning as maps, his paintings express Country as it is understood through Tjukurrpa—a living ancestral reality that continues to shape the landscape. Their remarkable precision, optical depth and restrained palettes have established Warlimpirrnga as one of the most influential contemporary Aboriginal artists. Explore his biography, painting style and the anthropological meaning behind his work on my website.

My selfson! Someday I'll start a comic autobiography with her.
A complex combination of feelings and emotions determines the color, volatility and shape of the balloon.
- Would you like to have a tail like this? 👀
Did I ever tell you guys that I made another one?
75% certain that "wherefore" means "why"
Yeah, and I used it as such.

I love her dearly. Happy birthday ms. cbc!
After what feels like forever, shirts are now up for preorder on my shop! The preorders close in 1 week & will immediately be off to print! 💗 I've wanted to do apparel for AGES & would love to do more if these do well! I'll be bringing some with me to Rose City Comic Con in September & to Lightbox Expo in October. So you can come pick one up there, too! 😁 Also, want to mention that I'm going to be temporarily closing my shop on the first of September to get ready for RCCC/Lightbox/traveling, so if you're wanting to snag a print - it would be a good time now, too! 💗
I am currently on holiday again - apologies for the delayed replies to messages - but wanted to say that a badge-making press and accessories is one of the MOST effective ways I’ve ever found to entertain a pack of children aged 3-13.
Genuinely hot tip. A bit spendy but for £37 (I got a decent deal on the set) you can get a week of entertainment
Another cute activity for multiple ages is air-dry “velvet” clay - the foam kind that quickly dries into very lightweight products. Very easy cleanup and very low commitment, with an interesting sensory feel.
It’s usually associated with very childish outputs, but with a little support (toothpicks and tin foil) you can make more sophisticated forms, which inspire the teens to compete on a higher level - and in the finished products, give the little ones some extra toys to play with.
They don’t have to be TOO sophisticated to be charming and pleasant…
Especially if you add some accessories - here, a simple saddle and foxy hunter…
Little stories can then be told with the products.
Which ends up giving the other adults time to recharge, makes some memories and adds more toys to the repertoire.
And if you’re the guiding adult, it can be moderately stimulating too! Unlike other kid’s crafts that dry your brain out with boredom.
Personal challenges here involved
Very small equine sculpture
Limbs limited in scope by composure around broken shards of toothpick
Willing young helpers
No reference photos / sketching
Short turnaround
Unsophisticated tools (scissors, toothpick)
Additional accessories to increase play value
Poses you don’t get in most horse sculptures - there is currently no extant Breyer in the “landing a jump” pose and, I had actually hoped to render one; this little guy serves as a sketch!
So in conclusion, a good way to entertain and support kids - even if you don’t identify as being a brilliant kids’ entertainer!
The ladies' men casanova types in fiction aren't realistic. Not for getting laid so much but for how they approach it. There's a type of dude who'll fuck absurd numbers of ladies but the real way they do it is by checking every single person who seems like they might go by she/her, to see if she'd like a piece of that. The way a pelican tests whether something can fit into its mouth, as the sole standard of what counts as edible.
No shade to these guys, though. The incels who think they've got to be some demigod 2.5m Chad Thundercock to get laid have nothing on the dudes whose only standards are "female enough" and "consents". Leave him alone in a room with your grandma for 13 minutes and he's almost convinced her to let him show her what kind of shit he can do with that tongue piercing.
Another style experiment ^.^

one of the funnier incidents of me assuming someone knew a meme irl was when a new coworker was talking about some woman who got arrested for tax fraud and I went "God forbid women do anything" and he got scared and thought I was accusing him of being sexist, so he started apologizing and saying how tax fraud isn't even bad, actually.
