Her head tilted, quizzical. She would admit to having little interact with King Arthur, but, from the stories she had heard from the people, he had expressed similar statements. A crown traded for a shepherd’s crook. For a girl who had done nothing but reach for power, grasp at any force that would ensure she would never again be at the whim of another, it was a puzzling statement.

“Is a king not a shepherd to his people, though?” The peace in this land. It was another puzzling statement. What peace had there ever been while men vied for the power of another? Yes, there were moments of peace, a breath to take before the next battle, but nothing that could be described as standing. “How will you bring peace?”

When Alfred HEARD from the mystical LADY about a king being a SHEPHERD of his own people, he sighed, “ I maybe an HEIR of my kingdom, but the TRUE shepherd of all is the Holy FATHER” He continued, “But witnessing kings of OLD who dare not to live by the LORD, gives me the impression of COWARDICE and TEMPTED by sins... I rather be LOWLY and HUMBLE to my people...”

PEACE ran through his mind and ears after the question sprung, “ I cannot say HOW I will bring peace... But I pray that in anyway through my potential REIGN that I can show my people COMPASSION and LOVE to them and hope that it will spread... For now, I do not know...”

The Lady did not often leave the shelter of Avalon, and yet refused to stay in complete ignorance of the world beyond the isle’s shores. And so once more she found herself in the presence of royalty, though now, instead of a frightened girl, she stood as a force all her own. “Will you be a good king?”

Alfred looked at the LADY that confronted him, he knew that she was filled with MYSTIC power that he could not apprehend. But once she asked him if he would be a good KING, he sighed. He knew he did not want to be like his PREDECESSORS and how twisted their MINDS were.

“I pray that I can restore the GREATNESS and the PEACE that once stood on this land” Alfred continued, “I rather be a SHEPARD who cares for his flock, than a RULER who sits in the temptation of POWER”

He then PAUSED for a moment, “ It will be a LONG process to see our people look eye and eye with EACH OTHER...” He continued, “ Our people both have SCARS and things must HEAL before any decisions are made”
