In fact, if you forget all these jokes about bilingual Sunfyre, this whole situation once again shows how incompetent the screenwriters are. They literally don't understand how the world they're filming the show about works, what the rules there are. They tell us that the rider doesn't know Valyrian, but then the dragon shouldn't obey him. However, Sunfyre is a very obedient boy, and what does that mean then? Either he has such a strong connection with Aegon that he understands him without words, or Aegon taught him English. Both options show Aegon as cool, and like what??? The creators of HOTD aren't serious people.
