What I like to think about in this particular scene:

Do you think there's any relation between Finn and that one dude from the old Rex Guardian squadron? He seems prominently featured in the intro for some random, plus there's the whole blonde-haired, blue-eyed thing.

Do I think so? No.

I have evidence! The old Rex Guardians you speak of are actually the current team. The battle depicted in the opening is the same one from the ‘Origins’ episode. This guy is still alive, see?

If he had any relation to Finn, I don’t think he would be casted off as a homeless orphan, do you? Unless you’re considering that one of the people trusted to protect the Atmos from evil is actually evil enough to disown Finn.

You do make a good point, though. Most of the people who live on Terra Rex have blonde hair and blue eyes. If you want to speculate about Finn’s parents, that’s a good place to start, however his accent says otherwise.
