@atollnews
Here is a split-track version of the recent Atoll drop Doth The Seahorse Perturb; Wish You Were Here!, ever so graciously provided by a fan (our rehosting of it verifies it as an official edition):
Student Paper on Tortinita
Greetings, all Atoll fans!
One of you, currently pursuing her MA in world literature, found a paper she wrote about Atoll and sent it over to us. With her permission, I have mirrored it here for all to see.
We hope all the Atoll heads out there appreciate this lots. Peace!
I have received news that Google Drive has ceased to host the paper. For the time being, we have chosen Catbox for sharing instead.
And here's another excerpt:
We hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience.
I Could Really Use Your Help!
There's so much we don't know about Atoll, and your contribution is the first step to ensuring we can learn more about them. To be clear, we're already fanatics, but there has to be some fanatic out there who's more fanatical than us. There is always something in the same way it's been hypothesized by some that everyone on earth has a doppelganger (jury's out on that one, haven't found mine), and we can't know what it is until we encounter it, but maybe I just need to read a modicum of media criticism to really get it. The best Atoll works are yet to come, and they are by and large unpredictable now that they've finally overcome an apparent hesitancy to release their material. Tortinita, if you're out there, I applaud you, but please come back. J. Adanet didn't write that paper on you we saw here yesterday all those years back for nothing. I want to talk again. This is my Arecibo to you, crazy diamond-cum-alien-cum-philosopher monarch-cum-utterly wild spirit who I wouldn't change a thing about. You're something special.

A Less Formal Announcement
Just a reminder that we are ready and willing to, despite our recent loss of contact with Tortinita, answer any and all questions about Atoll. Please send any information as well here or via our email address.

Announcement
Seeking more Tortinita Fine interviews in the archives, recently returned to Oslo, where they are currently located. I have a first-class flight scheduled in the near future. Unsure why Vice Media hasn't paid us yet despite promising hush money for an article takedown half a decade ago. Not even present on Archive Today or Internet Archive. Fuck me. Atoll research must continue despite a lack of funding.
Recent Tortinita Fine Leaj
See below. Pictured is an excerpt from a BibTeX file she kept for a thesis-like document she was apparently writing, sent to me in a draft state via Jabber in 2021. If anyone has any copies of any of these books or articles I could reference, please let me know. I am urgently trying to understand this complex, labyrinthine, and frankly baffling document.
You've got to be kidding me. I've scrolled dozens of pages looking for the first citation in the whole thing to be either verifiably real or accessible without trekking miles upon miles land and sea to a British library and it's this? Whither hence?

Beeswax Atoll (#fde5be to #0a7471)
Oh, my sweet reminiscences, drift out from me softly.
favorite atoll?
Reportedly, Tortinita's favorite atoll was Grande Glorieuse for an extended period of time, but their reading surrounding the subject often implied a preference for Bikini (correlated with transient evidence of a sexual fetish not for the corresponding swimsuit, but for the island itself). They would always claim the evidence had been planted, per other band members, but it was impossible to know whether they were telling the truth given the relative absence of forensicists in our broad social orbit. I, as the band's only contact, was never anything more than a recluse, and I was lucky ever to contact Tortinita to begin with. I don't know why she has ceased to answer my emails or if she will ever un-cease. I wish to see the streets of Yerevan once more having flown with them and the other three "contributors" to such a destination knowing our return would be made difficult by law enforcement. Everything's thick as labneh and I have grown to despise my distant post in Longyearbyen. Maybe someday it will kill me, like my wallet isn't already drained, but I fear I've said a great excess, so carry on, if you would.
You have uh, so many old postcards in your home.
TF: It's a simple fascination. Look: it's a whole shelf of things you can get off of eBay for 5 bucks a pop.
It'd be nice if I could see it more fully-
TF: I'm not letting you into my house. But anyway, isn't it interesting? All this talk of 'unspoilt islands' on the back of scenic prints: actually all places full of death, carnage. Racial segregation. You can breathe blood oxide in the air if you fixate for that prolonged moment that you always do when you breathe the leaf-enhanced air, and then you fixate on that fixation - and you reveal the blood permeating the sensoric metamorph. Ghostblood. Ancestral cries. The prehistory of modern history: the preceding agreement, the thing signed onto before contact by Western civilization. Foreknowledge of the end. Woven into the reflective seasalt is the death of everyone on these islands, you can smell the nonodor of radiation, impending, where these low lying strips of dead-stuff, absent of vegetation and empty of essence, will take impact by warhead, and again you can reveal this inside the sensoric metamorph, postfixational fixation. You don't even have to take it in being there. You can reveal this in the halftoned or dithered, ink-saving basically, pixels of the print.
