ISAT OCS: character trivia

| Trivia |
(based on some asks id5 answered abt the isat party and random trivia questions that @dasnercaret likes to chuck to us at random intervals throughout the month)
somehow we came up with weirdly specific ages down to zodiac signs based on Vibes Alone? i think this happened when i was making the timeline and it just. Stuck.
Himawari is 28 and a Virgo; Haruka is late preteens and a Taurus; Celest is 24 and a Pisces; Orion is 26 and a Libra (as all good oc's should be <- biased as a libra),
q: so. What's everyone's favorite shade.
Himawari likes darker shades, more a charcoal shade but not entirely lightless; both Celest and Orion like softer darkless/gray shades; Haruka prefers lighter shades that border on darkless.
q. what’s everyone’s favourite colors?
Himawari's would be a dusty indigo; Haruka's would be a warm brown or light tan; Celest's would be lavender; Orion's would be a kind of fern green.
q: what's everyone's hobbies?
Himawari doesn't have a lot of hobbies, but he carries around some shitty romance novel to pass the time; Haruka likes foraging and collecting items, and just the outdoors in general; Celest has an invested interest in weaving but hasn't done any weaving in a long time since she's been traveling; Orion does origami, which is part of how he got his nickname of 'Ori' from Haruka.
q: whos the shortest and tallest of them all?
Himawari is tallest by a long shot– he's about 6 ft.; Orion is next at 5'7; Celest is 5'4 (Which is still taller than me); and Haruka is 4'3, but could hit a massove growth spurt any day now (she's got tall genetics).
q: whos afraid of ghosts?
Himawari: yes, but mostly out of superstition than anything else
Celest: yes, extremely
Orion: a little
Haruka: not really
q: how did you end up naming the characters/any origins behind their names?
Haruka has a few meanings depending on what kanji you use, but her specific one is a shortened version of 春風 (harukaze), meaning spring breeze, which pretty much summarizes her personality. it also pairs with her mom's name, fuyumi. she has another name, but she doesn't know it.
if i recall correctly Celest's full name was because I was looking for a space–themed name that would reasonably pass off as not too on the nose, and that one won out. Her full name is Celestine, but the party almost exclusively calls her Celest. There are other names she's called by, but they're more like curses.
Himawari is actually a name given by Haruka at the start of their journey, meaning Sunflower. It's the only name he's ever wanted to keep.
Orion's name plays a pretty big role in his story, so I won't discuss it here, but his nickname from Haruka, Ori, is in fact a pun, since he does Origami. But stars are easily forgotten.
q: do the party members have nicknames?
Haruka is the master of nicknames among the party, and it's a signal that you've been unwittingly adopted by her; Celest is Celi, Himawari is Himi, Orion is Ori (which caught on to the rest of the party as well).
Celest has nicknames for the party, but they are extremely personal and individualized, with a lot of symbolic meaning. Orion is 'Halcyon', Haruka is 'Dove', and Himawari is 'Sólarljós'.
Ori affectionately refers to Haruka as 'Bug', but doesn't really do any other nicknames.
Himawari calls Haruka 'Little Lark' sometimes; Celest is Cel, or later 'Tianai' (天爱).
q: what do they think of puns?
Both Haruka and Orion enjoy them, but don't really tell them often (despite Ori's name being a pun). Celest actually likes it a lot, but her Ka Buan is mid at best, and means that sometimes it goes over her head. Himawari is decidedly neutral, but occasionally it can get a chuckle out of him.
q: what are their weapons/equipment items?
Himawari usually fights barehanded, but he's extremely skilled with the sword he carries. He rarely uses it, though, if at all. his equipment is various kinds of masks.
Haruka functions like Bonnie in terms of combat. Her weapon is a tenmari, and her equipment is the hairclips she uses
Celest uses their tarot cards as their weapon, much like how odile's books are classified as weapons. her equipment is kerchiefs.
Orion's is the weirdest: since his origami is his main form of craft, he uses different types of paper for weapons. His equipment is his glasses.
q: do they have any sentimental objects?
Himawari has a strand of 50 crystal prayer beads, each carved. The ojime is carved with an eagle.
Haruka has amassed gifts from all the party members; a ladybug charm from Ori, a four leaf clover from Celest, and an omamori from Himawari. She also has a collection of random objects she finds out on their travels.
Celest has a box filled with trinkets from her travels, including glass beads from Potera, an owl-shaped netsuke, and a small scrap of woven cloth. Every single gift that Haruka has ever given her is in a leather baggie. Her most prized possession is a knotted charm crafted by Himawari to ward off bad dreams.
Orion was given a crumpled attempt at a paper crane by Haruka. He treasures it forever.
q: ...how queer is the party?
q: who's the night owl and the early bird?
Sleep is generally not kind in this story. You can blame Aega for that, the asshole.
Haruka gets the most sleep; goes to bed early and wakes up usually only after one of the party members makes her get out of her tent.
Orion is an extreme early bird, and usually the first to wake up. However, he's got some insomnia, so he finds himself awake a lot of the night.
Celest is a natural night owl and likes to stargaze before sleeping. Regardless of whether or not her dreams are good (which they often aren't), she is also not a morning person and usually wakes up last.
Himawari is the worst out of all of them. It's the chronic hypervigilance and general lack of self-care. He averages about 4 hours of sleep a night, 5 if they're at an inn.
q: what will they do after their journey ends?
Haruka is deadset on going back home to her Amma with Himi and Celest and Orion (Duh!!! What else????). Orion wants to reunite with his family after a long time away. Celest doesn't have a clue, but would likely end up travelling aimlessly like before.
Himawari tries not to think about it at all.
