A Touch of Balance - update for Customers
I wanted to update all my customers on my current situation as I'm aware that some of you may not know what recently happened to me, or are aware that I'm currently not working and that this will continue for some weeks to come.
On 4th of March I was diagnosed with a benign Menginoma (brain tumour) which had grown on my spinal cord at T2 (between shoulder blades) and had started to compress my spinal cord. This has been causing me various amounts of symptoms, mostly numbness in the legs which gradually crept up to my chest.
I was admitted to Hope Hospital on 8th March and had my operation to remove what they could of the tumour on th 19th March. The operation was a success in that they got most of the tumour and I can walk and function more or less normally. I do have some nerve damage but am hoping that diminishes as healing continues for the next few weeks.
I've been advised I can't work for the foreseeable few weeks and will put an announcement out when I go back to work. This may mean I have to limit some of my appointments for a few weeks and may also limit what I can practice, eg. Aromatherapy Massage might not be available for a while.
I'm quite happy, however to give advice to you on how you can treat yourself with hand reflexology so please don't hesitate to contact me if you feel the need to get on top of something that is bothering you.
