Terrifying near miss... I was so scared for the little thing my stomach felt like it turned inside out.

William Control Posts Blog In Memory Of John “Beatz” Holohan
Halloween marked the seventh anniversary of John “Beatz” Holohan, Bayside’s drummer, passing away in a horrific van accident that occurred on one of the band’s tours with Aiden. William Control, frontman of Aiden, has written up a truly heartfelt blog post in remembrance of “Beatz.” You can read the full post here and a portion of it below by clicking “Read More.”

I remember how gutted I was when I heard the news of Beatz death...
I just found my Dad's old toy camera in the loft! My mum couldn't get over how excited I was. I already have two Lomography Diana F+ cameras, faithful replicas of the original plastic toy camera from the 1960s, but now I have an original to add to the collection. Its a little haggard but the shutter still seems to work, as does the focus and exposure lever, so I can't wait to run a roll of film through it.

Felix gives Red Bull wings.
4 hours until launch.
Watch live at www.redbullstratos.com
In less than 14 hours - that's 12:00GMT 09 Oct 2012 - Red Bull Stratos launches, taking Felix Baumgartner (not me, the guy on the right) to the edge of space where he will set the record for the highest skydive ever. Not only that, but he hopes to break the sound barrier during freefall, and due to the thinner atmosphere and lack of wind resistance at that altitude he may just do it... Just a guy falling at 700mph, no big deal.
Nobody knows quite what will happen... I'm excited to find out though.
Check out www.redbullstratos.com for more info.
Planetary alignment that will take place Dec 3, 2012 is dead-on alignment with the Pyramids at Giza.
That's my frickin' birthday!!
What does this mean?!
What DOES THIS MEEAANN!!??!!
"should I sell you at the car boot sale?" Fuck. I didn't expect it to be so blunt. 15 years, over in a single word. I guess it didn't appreciate being stuck at the bottom of a drawer for half of that...

While I'm on the environment rant - fuck plastic!
People who don't believe in climate change or global warming are fucking retarded, no question.
Since as long as I can remember the weather has got increasingly unpredictable and crazy every year... and this summer is no exception.
Honestly, it scares me a little. But what scares me more is how hard the large corporations are fighting to persuade the world that Global Warming is a myth, they are more worried about raking in the cash than caring for the environment. The cash in their pocket is more important to them than the future of humanity... or all life on Earth.
Now many people say that there isn't conclusive evidence to prove that the climate change is caused by us... but just because we can't prove that we're causing damage, doesn't mean that we're DEFINITELY NOT doing it...
I simply can't comprehend the mentality of people who say "Yeah it snowed in July, but prove to me that my Jeep was the reason.... no? Can't show me a graph with my name and number plate on it? OK I'll keep driving my gas guzzling 4x4 then..."
Personally I'd rather be safe than sorry. Surely in the long run, even if we can't prevent climate change by being more environmentally friendly, at least we know that we're living as healthily as possible. Isn't it a no-brainer?!
Kigus rule. London Zoo rules! Wearing Kigus at London Zoo is just one huge explosion of awesome.
Fun. were absolutely incredible last night. Their set was great, never dull, always on point. They had so much energy the whole way through. They knew exactly when to take things down a notch and exactly when to bring it back again. Watch the video above to see what I mean (sorry for missing the beginning, my phone took forever to start recording) - wait for the crowd participation towards the end, it gives me goosebumps. They are brilliant musicians and performers and they have worked hard to get where they are today. They totally deserve their new found fame and success. But the best part is how humble and down to earth they seem. Nothing has gone to their heads (yet) and it just makes them even more likeable as a band. I wasn't a huge fan before last night. I heard of them when they formed from the ashes of other bands, namely The Format, who an old magician friend of mine toured in the states with performing his tricks. But I never truly listened to them, bar a couple of their singles, they were just one of those many bands on my list of 'must listen to more'. But after last night I'm converted. Gonna pick up all their shit and get me some tickets for their Shepherds Bush show ASAP. They are not a band to be missed.
Tomorrow.
