My local animal shelter (BARCS) just got an influx of 369 birds from a shitass pet store, which is a truly terrifying number of parrots to have inside a building. BUT: there's a donation drive going on right now where you can vote for a pet's face to go on a beer can for their annual BARCStoberfest. Every single vote is a dollar towards animal rescue!!!

some years back, andrew cunningham said he wanted to see if my music would be a good fit for the game he's working on. i joined the team discord, everything. i worked real hard on a couple tracks, then he gave me an nda and 1 day later removed me from the team. he never paid for the tracks. when i mentioned wanting to be paid, he said that me wanting pay was "unprofessional". at the time he was making 2 orders of magnitude more from his patreon alone than i was at all.

my memory may be spotty on this next bit, but i believe maybe 2 years ago i sent a friend request to him to talk over it again. he never accepted it.

Over 90% of parents of visibly intersex children opt for cosmetic surgery on their infants.

The ones that don't experience medical violence then, likely experience it as a teenager.

I didn't.

I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.

Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.

That is why intersex activism is important. It saved me and it will save more.

in may, my family found a month-old kitten stuck behind a bunch of junk in our garage. we brought her inside and made sure she was okay. and now she's our little baby :)
