It is funny that Syaoran can only imagine giving Sakura the Clow Cards as a romantic gesture, but at the same time it's also telling. Syaoran has lived his entire life training to catch the Clow Cards, it is a big basis for his identity and an imperative sense of duty to him. Dream could've made him hallucinate him giving her a ring like in the movie he was just watching, or really any other chocolate/plushie/accessory since he was often jealous when Yukito gave those to her instead of him, but it wouldn't carry the same weight, would it? Giving Sakura the Clow Cards is akin to him saying "I'm giving up my life's purpose for you".
