Long time followers and people who have searched my page know that I'm a convert. I haven't talked about it as recently because people would come to me for advice. When you're early in your journey, you're very eager to share all that you know. But then there comes a time where you actually realize you know very little!

What I mean to say is, listen. Things might look lonely when you first start. But keep showing up. You will find your niche. Your community. You'll find family, where you cackle hysterically together, share challah, practice Judaism. Whether you're a convert, a Jew reconnecting, or just a little lost at the moment.

I promise you- the love is there. You just have to be the one to give it too.

Last year, I befriended a Catholic seminarian. We've gotten to be pretty decent friends. Seeing as he was staying in town for the summer and I wasn't, I entrusted him with caring for my plant.

He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"

"What?"

He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"

"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."

Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.

Listen, totally cool. My plant becoming Catholic is a great deal for her not dying over the summer. But now I must navigate this interfaith household. Keep me in your thoughts.

I don't know why everyone thinks dean would be different as a girl , he would be the EXACT same in every universe

Girl dean would be masc cause John always wanted a son , she would start wearing men clothing cause "it's safer if you look like a man" , no unwanted stares etc "you will infiltrate better no one pays attention to boys like they do to girls" and she ends up loving it , thinks its cool

Sam would be fem cause she wants to be a normal average girl , do her hair and makeup, go shopping etc but that stuff doesn't align with life on the road (see all the female hunter dressing the same as the men flannel jeans boots and t-shirt ) she buys stuff in secret and hides it, she alters clothes when she can't find something cute in the thrift store

John would say stuff like "you don't need makeup you should be more like your sister she doesn't need any of that crap" , Dean would for sure say I'm not like other girls stuff sometimes and she would still taunt Sam like male dean does :

"Did you break a nail princess? You're gonna mess up your manicure"

"you can't hunt or run if you're wearing high heels"

And no its not a phase she will not embrace femininity cause that not dean, he has never changed the look or personality to be less stereotypical macho man, stop fighting his canon characterization let dean be the self proclaimed hyper masculine even as a girl

If there was a genderswap episode she still would be attracted to only women : " My love for the ladies doesn't go away just cause i'm one too "

Sam would go change into girl clothes because his male self ones are too big on her frame even tho shes still the same height her shoulders aren't , she ask dean if she wants something more feminine " nah I can still wear mine i'm fine , Jody's a great example that i don't need to change my style to fit in"

Dean " Why do they still think we are queer? " Sam: " I don't know maybe because you're still butch"

Same goes for Sam and Castiel just because the vessel is different doesn't mean they will be too.

My elderly father started talking about how frustrating he finds “the pronouns thing” and I was like. Oh no. He had such a good stand on this, he’s been they/them-ing his cishet siblings for god’s sake! Is he regressing?? And he was talking about how difficult it is to remember, and how onerous it feels to expect strangers to keep track of it, and I’m like oh no oh no.

Then he says, “I mean, the problem isn’t the gender thing. The problem is four words: she, her, he, and him. We got rid of stewardess and turned it into flight attendant. It doesn’t matter if the flight attendant is a man or woman, so we got rid of it. We just need to get rid of those. I don’t need to know.”

“You don’t need to know… people’s gender?”

“No. I don’t care, I don’t need to know, and I don’t want to remember it.”

So we can relax. It’s just a continuation of his crusade to they/them the world. He doesn’t want to remember anyone’s gender. He’s abolishing the genders.
