How do you deal with hearing bullshit from your family? Like whenever Muslim tell macho things etc. I personally try to convince them but it doesnât work apparently. They were too brainwashed thereâs nothing to save I think
It depends. If they are older than me then I usually ignore them because things can get ugly with older generations, but those who are closer in age or are younger are more willing to listen to opposing views. Of course this only applies to the girls. The men/boys are assholes and they enjoy having these sexist views because it benefits them greatly and so theyâre 99% less likely to give your opinion any kind of consideration. It doesnât help that this demographic consume more pornography and and follow western men who create extremely misogynistic content that validate their already sexist views that they learned from their eastern religion/culture.Â
Tell me why when my parents talk about death and prayer, they added a "story" of a muslim girl who never missed prayer, died, told her dad in a dream to remove her from a graveyard and put her in a muslim graveyard because the old one had too much "screaming" and when they unearthed her, her body did not decompose at all since she was buried two years prior. I smell utter bullshit.
LMAO because your parents thought you were gullible enough to believe it. I remember a teacher told us that there was a woman whose grave was dug up for whatever reason and they saw that her face has transformed into a donkeyâs face, why??? Because she never prayed and used to complain about the call to prayer (saying that it sounded like a donkey). Another story they used to tell us was that of another woman whoâs grave was being dug after just 1 day (for whatever stupid reason), and they saw that her hair has decomposed already! Why? Because she didnât wear the hijab. I feel like thereâs just something about death that makes it seem like itâs too late for these women and they cannot be helped anymore....but YOU! You can avoid that fate...just be a good girl and pray and wear the hijab like your parents tell you to đ.
when you realise that a lot of your mental problems could have been avoided if the people in your life were just better people

Iâve been learning about historical figures and Iâve noticed a common saying that a lot of these researchers use to describe some male historical figures
âHe loved womenâ
and then they go on to describe how these men cheated on these women, and neglected their wives.Â
Loving women â cheating on them, neglecting them, impregnating them to death, and leaving them for other women.Â
Jinwar - Free Womenâs Village Rojava - Spring, 2017
Jinwar is an ecological womenâs village currently under construction in the heart of Rojava. As images of the Womenâs Defense Unitsâ (YPJ) successful resistance against ISIS continue to spread all over the world, the Rojava Revolution has shown the true potential of women. Now, the women of Rojava have come together once again to continue in their struggle for a free and peaceful life through the creation of an ecological womenâs village called Jinwar.
In the midst of the ongoing Syrian Civil War, Jinwar aims to provide an alternative, peaceful place for the co-existence of women, free of any and all violence. The village was founded on the principles of self-sustainability and aims to give women the opportunity to provide for their own basic needs. There will be gardens, orchards, livestock, lands, and various workshops, as well as a school and an art centre.Â
Built by women and for women, the village will be home to Rojavan women of all ethnicities and religions, and their children. Reconstructing our homes as havens of peace is a significant act of resistance in the face of violence and war. But far from being simply a collection of houses, the village will also provide an alternative way of life. Building onto the rich cultural heritage and historic knowledge of women, Jinwar aims to create a way of life in which every woman can reach her full potential free of the constraints of the oppressive power structures of patriarchy and capitalism. Jinwar will be a place for woman to collectively rediscover, re-establish, and reclaim her inherent freedom.

The women who started the womenâs village Umoja in Kenya in 1990 to escape the oppression of men, set off a chain of events challenging domestic violence, forced (child) marriages, genital mutilation, and patriarchal ideas about the role of women. Despite criticism and attacks, today the village prospers and several other villages for and by women have sprung up throughout the region. Umoja serves a great example of how society can thrive once women are able take back control over their own lives.

"Just see what happens when these women start to change and start to want different things⊠thatâs not loveâŠnor respect." Yup! Freedom or desire for new things are only reserved for men in their minds. Even in times were women were obedient like they wanted, men still despised women, because they are not men. And this is still a mindset you see everywhere.
Yes thatâs true. If a person accepts for someone else what they wouldnât accept for themselves then that means that they see that person as less deserving than them and therefore inferior. In other words, these men treat women in a way that they wouldnât want to be treated and they justify that with ânatureâ or womenâs âtrue happinessâ mainly because itâs what allows them to continue enjoying the privileges and the advantages of having women and girls be subordinate to men.Â
Woman killed by stalker after local judge refuses order of protection
The Florida woman killed by a man who had allegedly stalked her since her Hooters waitressing days had tried to get an order of protection against him, but a judge refused the request.
Alissa Blanton, 23, of Cocoa, Fla., was shot and killed Monday in the parking lot near her new job at an AT&T call center in Orange County, Fla. Police said her killer, 61-year-old Roger Troy, fatally shot himself immediately afterward.
About a week before she died, Blanton asked a judge for an order of protection against Troy, whom she said had been stalking her for two years. Despite the evidence she presented â her petition contained more than 70 pages of harassing e-mails Troy sent to her â Brevard County Circuit Court Judge Dean Moxley said he didnât have enough information to rule on the petition.
