Today, as we go through our lives and commit sin, it is like we are spitting in his face, especially when we refuse to repent and correct the sin. God lead us to the cross where your love poured out so that we may lay our burdens at your feet. What a powerful song about a all-powerfull God!

Good Friday Experiences
The day started as any usual day at Daulphin Island. We wake up, eat, get ready, and head out to where ever we plan to visit for the day. Today, which was our last day, we chose to go to New Orleans. Upon our arrival, we experienced some traffic issues due to just overpopulation and it being a tourist area. After we finally found a parking spot, it ended up being about 10 blocks from the French Quarter/Market. When we began to walk around my heart began to get heavy for the people in this city. We were seeing several voodoo stores that were just filled with people. People seem to think that the voodoo 'stuff' is "cool." People do not realize the darkness and demonic roots that it has, and they are filling their homes and lives with this stuff because it looks cool. After that I began to strategically place tracts all over the city. We went into the French Market, where we encountered a man and woman who made their own soaps and had them for sale. We use organic/homemade soap and have been using it for a while, so we decided to buy some of her soap. Somehow the topic came up and we talked about my ministry as a youth minister. She was such a sweet lady and such an awesome woman of God. She told us that every time she sold soap she tried to share the Gospel. Her son-in-law is a pastor in Texas and her son is an ordained minister of the Gospel. She encouraged me that at least one person was trying to reach that area. That area is as lost and dark to the Gospel as any other place that I have been(overseas or in America). The day ended with my father and I trying to figure out how to attach two kayaks (as we only brought one with us down, thats right, I bought another one ha ha) safely on top of my vehicle; third time was the charm. Anyway, we are leaving out at around 4am in the morning headed home. I pray for this city that God would use the Christians here to reach out before it is everlasting too late.

The Real Meaning of Good Friday
This Good Friday 2013, Let us remember that it is not just another day off of work or school, but there was a death today. The death of Christ was not just another death, but a death that had to happen for the sins of the world. Today, he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was placed upon him, and by his stripes we are healed. Today as I reflect on this I know that Christ literally died on the cross today 2000 years ago, but he didn't stay dead long. Unlike buddha who is still lying in his grave, Christ is ALIVE today because three days later on a Sunday morning 2000 years ago, He AROSE!!!! Oh what joy fills my soul when I think about the life that I was rescued from. Oh how I deserve the deepest darkest parts of hell, but because a man called Jesus died and rose again, I have eternal life. Amen Praise the Lord. But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him; And with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
