life changing tweet
History degree day 1: the past is so compelling to me. I just love learning about how our ancestors lived. and it’s so interesting how many of them had a fundamentally alien yet perhaps ultimately relatable in context mindset to our own. maybe one day I can begin to understand it?
History degree day 1000: forty martyrs of england and wales ranked by how good they would’ve been at posting on twitter
im watching the anime for the first time (only read the manga) so here is some very old (from 2019 i think) art i never posted here haha
Pollard Willows and Setting Sun (1888) by Vincent van Gogh
I really recommend the Táin Bó Cúailnge to anyone looking to get into medieval literature because it's a great story, brilliant poetry (I read the Carson translation, and the way he translates the roscada sections are beautiful) and the backbone of the Ulster Cycle, but it's also just really fucking funny. It has a very slapstick yet dry sense of humor that provides just enough comic relief to make the dramatic moments of the story even more impactful. Genuinely I laugh out loud every few pages. Go read it.
You can't make this shit up
uh i understand your knight kink post is engaging with the literary construct of the knight rather than the historical actually existing social role but you really failed to engage with the themes and tropes of late medieval grail literature
is anyone doing nhl retirement quite like unhinged wine mom beau bennett
some of the music i listen to is straight up bad
Ant wars are the most badass thing in the entire world i’m so serious
“bugs fight ten million wars every day” statistical error, most bugs chillax like crazy. Ants on the other hand have waged bloody war for millions of years and have trained their bodies and minds for battle from birth as modern day tiny spartans and are an outlier
absolutely love abusing the power that comes with 3rd person limited pov and just ignoring things and being vague sometimes. does the character know all the details? no? then I don't have to either.

to the people who said “this except alcohol”: i support you & your sobriety/preference for other substances. i hope all goes well and you have the best summer ever.
to the few people who said “this except rpf”: sorry this isn’t about you. this post is for real rpfers only and if you can’t get behind that then you aren’t invited to the BDY summer plans
the funniest moment in dungeon meshi is when marcille is having her nightmare and brings up her dead bird while also talking about her dead dad, saying “papa and pipi” and laios automatically assumes pipi is marcilles third nonbinary parent on top of her mom and dad
theistic crystal shop: these crystals will align your chakras and induce spiritual healing
materialist crystal shop: these crystals will make you feel better because they're a cool part of nature and pretty to look at :)
agnostic crystal shop: no one knows why the crystals are good.
