The three genders are all nonbinay genders, gender faun is a form of gender fluid, iirc chaotiflux is a adhd based nurogender, proxvir is a male connected gender

we dont. we have pronouns we like and we tell ppl to use those. in recent years I have been useing they and he more than others. but if i wanted to use something else i would talk to the people around be and tell them how i want to be referred as. its a communication thing

Nurogender is a gender that is connected to ones nurrotype

exorsexism is being discrimination against nonbinary ppl

mogai is Marginalized Orientations, Gender Alignments, and Intersex it was coined circa 2015 as a proposed alternative to the ever growing LGBTQIA++. It came to be a sub group of queer ppl who used microlables and nonstandard pronouns. I am not sure if it is in as much use or how the community is anymore as I haven't been super active in it since 2018 but i am on the outskirts still.

Hey, happy Pride month. Quick question for y'all: Can someone identify as both a binary gender and as autigender, at the same time?

This is an old one but yes 100%

I id as Nonbinary in most circles and keep my microlables to the ppl who it really matters for (close friends and my parnters)

Recently came out as an Autigirl!

I introduced Autigender to my friends and romantic partner, and they and one of my friends was like

"Oh shit I think that might be me too"

I can't be the only one this has happened to, right?

This blog was originally started by a pair of friends who one came out and the other went "oh wait me too!"

It also doesn't help that autistics tend to, for lack of better words, run in packs. So it only makes sense in queer and nonbinary groups of autistics.

There's a podcast on the BBC called 1800 Seconds On Autism, and they had an episode about the autigender label! 100% it was the two hosts - who are both autistic themselves - talking to an autigender guest and a non-binary autistic guest and being like "hell yeah, this is really awesome and interesting!" So I guess it being talked about on the BBC makes it a semi-mainstream label now lmao.

The last post you shared used "allos" to describe allistic ppl, which is rlly aphobic and ableist. The discourse surrounding that I dont want to get into much but I just wanted to let you know that using a-spec terms for autism is harmful and the reasons behind why ppl started to take a-spec terms and claim they were made for the autistic community was aphonic and trying to paint a-specs as ableist. I'm running out of room now, so thank you for reading this.

The fact that ppl took "autigender," an nb gender designed to express how being autistic can fuck with your understanding of gender bc, shockingly, its largely just another confusing social construct and a lot of autistic ppl can be categorized as gnc (or are described that way by neurotypical/allos, esp because autism has specific gendered stereotypes to it), and made it "haha autism gender you wanna identify as an autism" is so ungodly ableist and nbphobic like nd/mi and nb ppl can't have jack fucking shit can they

As someone who was possibly the Originator of that term, I just wanted to say that Identifying As An Autism was always encompassed in my conception of it, there's nothing wrong with it even if trolls use it as a strawman, and if you think there's something wrong with it I am frowning mightily at you.

I love, love, love autigender but I rarely talk about it, and when I do it's only with fellow autistics who are also genderqueer.

The first time I heard about autigender it was all the pieces of a puzzle finally coming together, and I had had most of the pieces for ages but I didn't even know they were from the same puzzle!

It sucks that talking about it is such a crapshoot

You know, when I first saw the term autigender (with no further context) my first thought was: "Ugh is this yet another way to make fun of both nonbinary people and autistic people?" But instead of just assuming that my first thought was correct, I decided to look up 'autigender' and look at some autigender people's blogs (something I believe more people should do, they might learn something, like I did) and now I actually identity as autigender myself! Funny how those things go, sometimes.

Hi! Recently found this blog along with the term autigender, and it has been very helpful in me understanding what it is. Since I recently self-diagnosed with autism, I've kinda just been questioning everything about myself, and now I'm also wondering if I'm autigender. Do you have any advice on how I can tell?

Lots of introspection!! For me personally, i decided that if I wasn’t autistic, then i would probably be binary trans. So therefore, I must be autigender, because my autism is affecting my gender.

Idk, hope this helps at all? Sorry, really the only answer to “How can I tell if i’m X” is to look inside yourself (metaphorically) and ask lots of questions

Idk if you take requests but nonbinary culture is realizing that autistic people have higher chances of being non-cis and talking about how being transphobic and unaccepting can often overlap with making fun of autistic people who don't have the same relationship with gender as neurotypicals

Ableism is rampant in transphobia. If I made a venn diagram of “being transphobic” and “making fun of autistic people”, it would be a circle.

Not that you need me, an allistic person, to validate you, but I do want to remind every autistic trans/nonbinary that this is a safe space for you. Your relationship to your gender, whatever it may be, is not cringey and I will never allow that kind of attitude here.
