Although Mercury looks like Blurr, his character is a complete copy of Swindle, even worse. He is very cocky, and he also inherited a crazy pace of life from Blurr, but a pragmatic mind from Swindle. He cannot sit still, because as his father taught him, "time is money."
Mercury thinks and speaks as quickly as Blurr, which is why his speeches often sound like a machine-gun reading of the terms of a loan agreement, and not how was his day. He is a born manipulator, instantly noticing the weaknesses of other bots, which he often uses.
Mercury was born on a Velocitron, Blurr could not fully believe that he had become pregnant from the first contact with Swindle, but when he saw his son's big eyes, he had to believe.
Blurr often had problems, because his son often got involved in illegal sales. But despite this, Blurr did not hide from him who his father was, which only made the little one more excited to meet him.
Swindle did not yet know that he had a son, he found out after the events on Cybertron.
Despite the Decepticon cunning, Mercury never deceives Blurr and Swindle. On the contrary, he considers them his "main board of directors" and always shares a percentage of his small deals with them.
His favorite and profitable hobby is collecting old Cybertronian shanixes, Decepticon tokens and microcircuits. He knows the denomination of every piece of hardware and when he got to Earth, he was immediately interested in local coins.
He has a rather strange relationship with Stardrop and Eve, because he has difficulty communicating with bots, one of which is also mute and often sends him to hell when he offers to sell her the chip she needs. Stardrop uses Mercury's speed to his advantage, but does not want to have anything to do with him other than as a "colleague".

Mercury hates Kreida the most, because she can always stop him even if he goes at hyperspeed, and often calls her any name but Kreida, and she in turn calls him Mantis.
