Donatello Headcanons part 10

Dance Edition 🕺💃🕺💃

Donnie watches Eurovision every year, and ended up getting brothers to watch it along with him.

Splinter didn’t want to watch it at first, but Mikey convinced him to join them one year, and now they watch it all together

Donnie prepares dances for himself and the brothers to perform to quite a few of the songs. He performs the best because of passion if not skill.

When April joined her school’s ballroom dance team, she was excited to show off her new moves.

Despite his apparent clumsiness, Donnie took to the sport immediately, demanding that she learn both the leading and following part of everything she was taught.

Donnie found that being in close proximity in such a structured way didn’t feel uncomfortable. Win!

After a few months, Leo handed Donnie a flyer for a Yokai ballroom dance class group.

Scared to go but excited at the idea of learning more, Donnie mustered up the courage to on his own.

It was 11 votes to 8 and angsty won - so here's Donnie having a panic attack. I drew this as a vent after having one myself. I wasn't going to ink and colour it but after looking at it again a bit later on, I really liked how it turned out.

Donatello HCs part 9:

Cat Edition

Donnie gets along with the cats living in the sewers really well.

When he feels like he can’t eat (I hc him as having mild ARFID), he takes some scraps to feed them

One day, while walking alone, he found a momma cat that had recently given birth

He then enlisted Mikey’s help to make a box with some blankets nice and comfy for her

Mikey suggested they get some real cat food for her, which they did

They both helped take care of her in this way until they could coax her closer to their part of the sewers

She became the family cat, and her kittens get into all sorts of trouble around their base

She loves watching movies with Splinter, and the kittens all attached themselves to a brother or two

Momma cat still has a soft spot for Donnie and Mikey, though

as his bestfriend and big sister shes obliged to ragebait him at least once a week

F!Donnie Headcannons but it’s more of a half OC at this point - Noble

For the sake of these, we’re going to call this one Noble.

> Noble is a soft shell turtle mutant in his mid-late thirties who is surprisingly well adjusted at this point in time (don’t worry, the angst will come later)

> He lives in the apocalypse scenario in which the Kraang have killed or absorbed most of the life left on the planet, save for a few scattered resistance movements and bunkers around the world.

> Moving along from just mechanical engineering and computer science, he also collects passive swaths of information on biology and chemistry to help with the cause.

> He does help with fighting and with making weapons (chemical or otherwise), but he mostly sticks with running the bunker with Mikey, who is in charge of organizing mental health services (very important) as well as helping out with the medical team and food production and management.

> Despite having designed and built the place where they stay, Noble gave nicer quarters to officers and stays in a small room no bigger than any other civilian’s. However, it is deliberately close to the workshop and lab.

> When in the workshop, he will often stay up late at night and either get woken up by Mikey, carried back by Raph, or sat with by Leo (I know that they don’t have different names, I’m working on that at the moment. Feel free to drop suggestions).

> The brothers often come sit and watch or help at the workshop when they’re in a bad headspace. They say it helps clear their heads. None of them know the others do this, but Noble would never tell.

MORE DONATELLO HEADCANONS - more visual sensory things!

He loves going up to the city at night because of all the lights and colors.

He takes inspiration from it and that’s why his lab and room are decorated with so many LEDs and such. It’s a visual stim for him.

Additionally, he never uses the overhead lights in his lab unless he really needs the extra light and doesn’t have any overhead lights in his room at all.

He gets really upset if someone turns on the lights in his lab without warning. Both because it’s a sensory shock and because he’s usually concentrating and does not want to be interrupted when hyperfocusing on a project.

He likes steady color changing lights in his work spaces. It has multiple settings for different color combos. His favorite is one that shifts between shades of blue, purple, teal, and magenta.

He does like strobing effects and how they look but they’re overstimulating after a few minutes.

He likes concerts with laser effects and will watch them from a distance so it’s not as overwhelming (too many people, too loud, and difficult to leave if he gets overstimmed). Just close enough so he can feel the bass shake whatever he’s sitting on.

He likes bright colors and neon effects in art and Mikey will often make a drawing or mural with that effect for him.

He secretly likes stimboards/moodboards but kinda thinks they’re cringe at the same time.

He draws stars on his arms around his markings because he loves the way they look (also feels nice)

Mikey saw him drawing stars on himself with a pen and got him a brush pen to use instead (looks AND feels better)

This was longer than I expected it to be. I still have more ideas for this ashdhjfkls anyways hope you enjoyed :)
