Love is the most powerful force on earth. It can move mountains and make the world around you sparkle with joy. The magic touch love adds to your life is both intoxicating and wonderful. However, when a loving relationship suddenly comes to an end your life becomes excruciatingly painful. it feels as if your entire world comes crashing down. You sat in your room as tears poured down your face, your parents said that everything would be ok, that your heart would heal but you knew nothing would ever be the same. You were thinking, thinking about all the good times you had and the memories flooded your mind.
~flashback~
It had been 2 weeks since you broke up with Peter. He just wasn’t the same any more, always late and sometimes never even showing up at all. You loved peter with all your heart but staying with him caused just caused you more pain. You were watching tv when he showed up at your door. “What are you doing here Peter?” “I need to talk to you. Im sorry I was a terrible boyfriend and I’m sorry I hurt you so many times and you deserve an explanation.” “Peter what’s going on” you could tell something was off. He kept looking around and was running his fingers through his hair, something he only ever did when he was nervous. “the reason I was always late is because I- I’m Spider-Man Y/N.” You knew Peter well enough to know that what he said was the truth, “why didn’t you tell me?” “ I didn’t want you to know because I wanted to keep you safe” he rambled on for a few minutes until you crashed your lips onto his“ I love you Spider-Man ” “I love you too Y/N” there was a brief moment of silence before peters voice caused you to snap back into reality “Don’t look at me like that.” “Like what?” “Like your worried about me” “but Peter, I am worried about you. You could have get hurt”
Peter gave you a reassuring hug. “I won’t get hurt... at least not too bad” “Are you gonna break my heart?” “No of course not Y/N, I love you.” “I know you do but knowing you’re out there...” you trailed off as the tears in your eyes threatened to spill. “Y/N I would never ever leave you.”
~flashback over~
He said he would never leave you and you were fool for believing him, a fool for believing every single word he said. You told him not to go and fight but he promised he would be ok. Maybe it wouldn’t have made a difference, whether he stayed with you or fought with avengers and deep down in your heart you knew that if he stayed with you it wouldn’t have made a difference. Suddenly you felt a warm hand wipe away the tears rolling down your cheeks, confusion and fear filled your mind as you jumped back. “P-Peter!!?” A shiver ran down your spine as the Peter who you assumed to be dead walked closer. “Y/N” he gave you a hug and your tears that were once of sadness transitioned to joy. “B-but how, how are you here?” “I don’t know, I just remember waking up in the middle of nowhere and all I could think about was you.” Within an instant his lips were on yours and all your worries and fear melted away. “I love you Peter Parker” “I love you too Y/N.”
