Hello! I'm Diz. I have Avoidant Personality Disorder, Paranoid Personality Disorder, Schizoid Personality Disorder, and Dependant Personality Disorder, and this is where I talk about it.

I also have OCD, Autism, and ADHD and will likely talk about these as well. :)

All Personality Disorders are also a special interest so I may end up talking about PDs I don't have as well lol.

I don't have a dni, but I want to be transparent that my main blog is a proship/propara blog. If you aren't comfortable with me having paraphilias/being proship, even when I don't talk about them on this blog, you can block me and my main @doormat-xtraordinaire I am also plural (pdgenic) and because it's so related to my PDs I will likely talk about it. If you're anti endo, you can still be around but I am "endogenic" technically.

Responded to a specific guy more emotionally but I really want to point out that validity politics in GENERAL are really missing the mark.

Idc about “validity”, I care about how we are being treated in society and by mental health “”professionals””.

I am also just? Confident in my emotions? I’m not unsure of myself. I know who I am. Saying my feelings are valid doesn’t do anything but say something I already knew. It’s performative.

May I ask what your reason for that is? I have heard some posts about how it can be infantilizing or water down the struggles we have while trying to ignore the ugly sides of disorders we have. At least in the context of personality disorders.

For me specifically, it just feels forced. Like they just found out there were more pds than cluster b and decided to make a post without even going and seeing what the disorder really IS.

But the thing is, telling a cluster a guy “hello i love and support you” to their face is at best going to get you apathy and at worst is going to make the people who the post is “for” scared that there’s another motive behind it.

Pouring empathy on someone non-empathetic doesn’t do anything lol.

I don’t necessarily think it’s “harmful”, it just isn’t helpful to the people they think they’re helping.

Was reminded that my maladaptive daydreaming is a schizoid symptom. It makes me really want to talk about my symptoms in general lol I keep having these “oh yeah!!!” moments

schizoid culture is not getting why saying "i don't care" is perceived as being edgy, while it isn't even my choice, i don't have intentions not to care, i just don't feel anything towards most topics and i don't even care enough to have an opinion on them. i don't choose this, it just is what it is

the cultural boogeyman of the faker is such a convenient lie for ableism. Waste your time fighting about who does and does not deserve help, and maybe you wont realizes that there was never any help to begin with. The is no epidemic of malingerers taking up resources they don't need, there is a lack of resources for disabled people
