God wants you regardless of what you've done, what you're doing, and what you're going to do. You see, the beauty of His LOVE is that He's not asking for you to be perfect, to be someone who's never sinned, or to have it all together. He's asking the BROKEN to come forth for HEALING, the LOST to be FOUND, and the BLIND to SEE. I, you, we are a generation that have the power to change our atmospheres and situations through prayer. So if God hears our prayers, sets free the oppressed, and makes our enemies flee because we pray then WHY WOULD WE EVER STOP? Why would we say it's because we're too young? I'm just a 24 year old living for Christ <3

The Power of Thoughts

This morning while I was spending time with God for a brief moment, I flashed back to something in my past where I believed I could have been“stronger.” I began to question why I didn’t do more, but God reminded me of a simple truth! I am who I am today because of every experience I’ve gone through. I’m stronger today because of the weaknesses and lessons of my yesterdays. 

“It only takes a minute amount of yeast...” In other words it takes little to no time for a lie to infect you, if you choose to believe it. There’s two outcomes when it comes to hearing lies: 1) ignore it and keep running your race, “bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5) or 2) get distracted, which then “...deflect[s] you from the true course of obedience” (Gal 5:7-10).

Yeast causes dough to rise. When yeast comes into contact with sugar, it begins to multiply causing the dough to increase in size. So, a substance that was once small has just doubled in size due to just a few ounces of another ingredient. 

A single thought becomes an idea, which then manifests itself into an action. It started with “...a minute amount of yeast...” and turned into a detour from obedience. Once the yeast (lie) is planted and comes into contact with sugar (our acceptance) it now has room to grow. What was just a simple thought can overtime turn into a yoke of bondage. 

It does not matter where the lie came from: friends, family, coworkers, church community, if it IS NOT in the Bible IT IS NOT right! 100% of the time if you know Jesus did not and would not say or believe that, then it is a lie. 

For so long I lived in my own little self-contained prison because I believed lies about myself. Consistent criticism externally and internally, and the longing to just be understood led me down a path of exhaustion trying to prove the lies wrong. But there’s freedom from that!! I now know a God that can accept me and all of my mess when people can’t. I know a God that isn’t cruel and angry. God is not angry with you because you are not perfect. He is not tallying up every mistake you have and will make so He can strike you down in due time because He’s sick of you and dislikes you. He is a loving God, who only wants the best for you. He does not only have constant criticism for you. You are not a horrible person just because people have nothing positive to say about you! No, I am not perfect. No, you are not perfect. But He chose and will choose you and me every single time. There is no devil in Hell, angel in Heaven, or creature in all of creation that can separate us from the love of God ( Romans 8:35-38). He’s already bought us, chosen us, and He has done it all with NO regrets!! 

Accept this truth and ask the Holy Spirit to dismantle every lie that has been spoken over you, and what you believe about yourself. There is now no more condemnation (Romans 8:1), we are free. All you have to do is believe. Walk into this freedom, let nothing or no one hold you back!

A MUST READ FOR THE 2014 YEAR

We always expect God to show up in a certain way, but then He doesn't. We look for God in the same places He showed up before or in places that make the most sense to us. But we must realize God doesn't "think" like us, His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His order is not our order. Proverbs 3:5 says "...lean not on your own understanding," so why do we continue to EXPECT God to show up a certain way, why do we limit a timeless, boundless being to pathetic bounded expectations? God makes it clear in Isaiah 43:19 "BEHOLD I am doing a NEW thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it...?" So if God is doing a NEW thing then why do we continue to look for Him in past events? Why do we expect Him to move the same way? It's time to CHANGE our expectations and EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED! Who are we to tell/plead to God how He should move in our lives? When we surrendered to Him that meant that we would trust His knowledge above our own. So why are you looking for Him to bless you with a spouse before a house when BEHOLD He is doing a new thing. Why can't God give you the house first? And why are you worrying about how you're going to pay your bills without a job when BEHOLD He is doing a new thing? Since when can God not provide for His people? Don't be like the Jews and Pharisees and miss out on God because you're EXPECTING Him to show up in a certain way!! CHANGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An Ocean of Love

God's love is just an ocean I want to drown in, where each wave takes me deeper and deeper than before. When I'm with Him nothing else matters; I have no care in the world, I just have Him. I have peace, contentment, joy, and happiness that no man can take away. There's nothing like the love of my Father; the love that He has poured out upon me. I'm not following God for what He can do for me or for the riches of the world. I'm following Him because I've tasted the splendor of His love and I can't go back, I won't!

LET HOPE ERUPT

I haven't posted anything in looooonnnng time, mainly because I started college and life has been crazy. I just wanted to get on here and say that don't give up, continue to have hope and trust God. Don't let this school year be stressful or a time where all you can think about are forming relationships with people you like or with the "popular" kids, let this be a season where you get lost in God's unfailing, relentless love! Don't be scared to stand out, be different, don't follow the crowd, follow Jesus. Let Him be the person you depend on for good grades in school, not your friends. Fall in love with God and if you already have, fall deeper in love. Always always always remember YOU ARE LOVED, and no matter what you go through, no matter what you do, no matter what people say Jesus has, does, and will always love and adore you because you're beautiful and wonderful in His eyes :)

Three Types of Friends by TD JAKES

1. CONFIDANTS – You have very few of them – these are people who welcome you unconditionally. They are into you whether you are up or down, right or wrong, they are in it for the long haul. You can share anything with them. Having a good confidant is one of the keys that unlock the Kingdom.

These are people who you can share your deepest and darkest inner thoughts with, who won’t judge you but will feed you instead of draining you.

Have you ever had relationships where the person was emotionally immature and consistently draining you? It’s okay to help others but you must have someone who feeds you so you can feed someone else. They will confront you; they’ll get in your business and get in your face and tell you when you are wrong BUT will also come back and be by your side no matter what. They will never leave.

2. CONSTITUENTS - They are not into you but are into what you are FOR. They are for what you are for. As long as you are for what they are for they will be with you but never think they are for you. If they meet someone else that will meet their agenda they will hook up with them and leave you. Don’t mistake a constituent for a confidant. By the time you fall in love or are connected with them in a relationship, they will hook up with someone else and break your heart, leaving you wondering, “I thought our relationship was deeper than that.”

3. COMRADES - These are not for you nor are they for what you are for. They are just against what you are against. They are strange bedfellows. They are the enemy of your enemy who will team up with you to help you fight a greater enemy. They will only be with you until the victory is accomplished.

They are like scaffolding that is there until the building is built but is later removed because the building is built. Don’t be upset when they leave. They were not supposed to be there anyway. Don’t tell your dream to your constituents they will try to fulfill the dream without you. Don’t tell your dream to your comrades because they will not support you because they are not for you in the first place.
