The Lore of House Dimitrescu - Concept Art Insights

I have just finished the game, and in my excitement to spend my points on the concept art shop, realized that some of the art director’s comments actually give us some more lore on your favorite ladies! So here is what I found so far:

The big one first - the story behind the dagger: it was used by a man who tried to assassinate Alcina, so she locked it away with his corpse.

Each of Alcina’s roses represents a daughter, all of whom she holds close to her heart.

In her mutated form, her scales are actually her enlarged cells:

Her dragon form also comes from the “child of the dragon” meaning of her Dracula motif. 

We also get a breakdown of how her transformation works:

The castle’s vineyard, which also shows how the daughters sometimes go out to hunt:

Alcina only wears white or red! Fanfic authors, note that down! (Or not. Personally, I’m adding black to the mix.)

The story behind the Hall of Ablution statues. (I like how they added the “women are blind to the men’s advances” bit into the final version.)
