Introducing my spin on the Dead Three, alive and well! For the most part.

I loved imagining the journey those three idiots must’ve had so much that I started writing a fan fiction about it. Then I remembered that I have free will and started turning that fiction into a comic series.

There’s not a bunch known about them, but I tried my best while researching canon lore. A lot of it is from Ed Greenwood, whom I trust the most when it comes to the Dead Three. I clearly incorporated headcanon and things that just make sense into my rendition of their journey, so please don’t “Uhm, actually” me.

I felt like I had to explain and make a quick post about it. I can definitely see how it could lead to confusion seeing them depicted in a semi-canon, alive way. I also post stand-alone art/WIPs including my spin on the “Alive Three” -as I will refer to them until I figured out the final title- but also classic Dead Three sketches, art, and yaoi.

Badly injured and utterly alone in an unfamiliar rural landscape, you cross paths with a man climbing over a bridge's railing. You are so desperate for aid that you place your life entirely in his hands. You force yourself to trust him, breaking a long streak of isolation and paranoia.

Incredibly, the stranger steps up. He brings you to a healer and never leaves your side. He feeds you, helps wash and dress you, and distracts you from the agony by painting vivid pictures of his local travels, bringing a sense of normalcy back into your life without asking for a single thing in return.

He watches over you from a chair by your bedside as you drift off, and he is still there when you open your eyes, repeating the cycle daily until you fully recover.

Feeling bad for keeping him in that chair, you invite him to share the bed, completely unaware of how much he tosses and turns. When he shifts in his sleep, he snuggles up against you, accidentally putting weight on your injury. It throbs with pain, but you refuse to move. After all this stranger has done, holding you close is a small price to pay to give him the peaceful rest he earned.

Bhaal is always one breeze away from crashing out. Bane does absolutely nothing while lighting a cigarette only for the aesthetics. Myrkul is trying to hold it together.

Sketches (backstory) for my comic series about the journey of Bane, Bhaal aka Arabhal, and Myrkul. Yes, you read that right. Context below.

The yaoi disguised as yuri absolutely no one asked for - probably couldn’t even imagine ever happening.

The Scene: A very much alive Arabhal (Bhaal) and Bane misunderstood the dress code for a banquet they attended in order to steal back the skeleton key one of Arabhal’s ‘clients’ had so rudely stolen. Yes, even a Rogue can get pickpocketed. There were no pockets to be picked when Arabhal got robbed, but that’s a story for another time. Hells, he didn’t even notice until Bane needed the key. Thankfully, he keeps a ‘clients’ list, so the culprit was quickly identified: a posh city man and, clearly, a kleptomaniac. As fate would have it, that weasel was holding a banquet at his residence. How convenient. Bane clearly took this mission very seriously and definitely didn’t distract them from the main goal - at all. He might even ‘misread’ the dress code on purpose just to have a laugh or two. Making Arabhal uncomfortable is one of his favourite pastimes.

Externally, Arabhal might have looked somewhat okay. Internally, though? Just imagine the screams, hellfire, dread, awkwardness, and the sudden realization that it is, lowkey, not that horrible after all.

Yes... somehow I have never sketched Arabhal smiling before, and now that I have, he reminds me of what would happen if Lily Collins and Anne Hathaway had a child.

The way you draw Bane looks very similar to how I designed my Selunite cleric who HATES baanites and this is very funny to me and I'm now headcanoning your Bane for my vision of Bane too because it would torture my guy so much. Thank you for this, from the bottom of my heart.

Can’t blame your cleric for hating on Banites. I feel this is a very popular opinion to have, but only the truly brave admit it publicly.

Bane has very strong opinions on Selûne - well, on literally every god out there, essentially. He definitely would be surprised to see someone with his likeness roaming around out there. He would probably even question if he’s the father, which would lead him to have an existential crisis.

How I imagine the confrontation would go down.

I used to sketch very small, so all of my Bane sketches are on 5pxls, besides the newer ones of him in drag ( ͡≖ ͜ʖ ͡≖)

I’m too stunned to speak. They look gorgeous T-T I love the recent sketches so much, so I’m going to dump some here. It’ll take me a while to make this one into a finished comic because it’s part of the backstory/ flash back.

It feels like I’m finally free from my shackles x) now I can post my stuff without overthinking it. Decided on leaving them in a very simple comic style, but I’ll definitely experiment with the art style in stand-alone pieces.
