A sudden barrage of information from the newest game in the Bokujou Monogatari series kept me busy last week. It’ll still be a few days before I have a post ready for the third chapter of the child-generation story.

I finally got around to playing the English DLC that was released last week. Hinata’s dialogue cracked me up! 

…You killed someone, didn’t you?!

By the way, his dialogue in the Japanese version is almost the same, with one exception: the line about his snow creations “fall[ing] apart as soon as it thawed” was changed slightly from the Japanese version:

翌日それを壊して回るのが なかなか寂しかったんだけどよ。 “Going around and destroying them the next day was kinda sad.”

He didn’t let his snow houses melt; he destroyed them, haha. It sounds like other kids helped him, though.

Subaki’s dialogue made me just a little sad. It hasn’t been changed from the Japanese version, but it’s harder to make the connection between Subaki’s name and the camellia flower in English.

In Japanese, he’s named after the camellia (Tsubaki). So that’s why he hopes that, if he falls in battle, he’ll be as beautiful as camellia petals scattered in the snow.
