I had a busy day in my pottery studio, Ayaki Ceramics, but I always make time for tea, especially matcha tea. I'm currently working on a custom order for a client that requires a slightly asymmetrical shape.
After weeks of waiting, my giant ramen bowl is finally being fired in the kiln! It's so big, it could probably hold enough soup to feed an entire army. (Don't let the wide angle lens fool you, it's actually huge!) Stay tuned for the next video, where I'll show you how I make the ramen to go inside 😅

It was one of those special summer days when I just sat there in silence and brewed some green tea in my handmade teacup. The sunset was so beautiful that it made me feel like a poet. And then I realized that I'm not a poet, but it was still a perfect day
I had a busy day in my pottery studio, but I always have time for tea. It's not like I'm going to drink clay 😅
My ceramic studio is full of plants and is so cozy that even the plants feel at home
I had a serious case of insomnia, so I decided to do something productive with my time. Behold, the aesthetic pleasing food I created at 2 in the morning!
I'm fascinated by the Korean pottery technique called Boseong Deombeongyi, which is a unique style of pottery that emerged between 1470 and 1500 by Korean potters during the early Joseon Dynasty, the last kingdom of Korea. I decided to make this wide shallow porcelain crackle tea cup inspired by this technique.
I also prepared a beautiful decoration from tofu cheese, sea moss and miso paste and enjoyed some gyokuro green tea.
It was a delightful and aesthetic experience. I highly recommend you to try something like this.
One of my many handmade ramen bowls. I'm so obsessed with making them that I might just open up a restaurant and call it "Ramen Obsession" 😁
