Trick or treat?

Always sad to be back to Kiev after vacation, but October has a small advantage – Halloween. It’s like a perfect plan 4th years in a row – when we are missing Amsterdam we have bonus – to wear costumes. This time plan was Closer with Brave factory: Delta Funktionen, Bill Patrick, Ion Ludwig, Marco Shuttle and residents.

For the past years Halloween in Kiev got in a separate “holiday”, as we remember the times when we were almost the only ones dressed properly. Now it’s a mix of sex shop, vanguard thinking and “I bought my devil’s horns in 24h shop”.

Hahaha, we were in a “sex shop” category, but why not? Suddenly, another challenging idea appeared: next year we should be in Europe for one of bloody parties /in parallel, putting it in 2017 bucket list/.

Numerous queue met us on the entrance, blah-blah-blah, think what U want, Kiev is not Berlin, Closer is not Berghain.

Our winner character for the night was devious housewife, ain’t he perfect?

A lot of people and all speak Russian - this is truly scary after refined Amsterdam. At the moment we can’t change anything, so, getting deep to the music.

Raving 3rd floor atmosphere started with Marco Shuttle and continued by Delta Funktionen made “adaptation” to reality easier.

Banging techno, don’t focus on people and we are almost back.

Bill Patrick was also nuts, so most time of the evening we spent walking around and dancing. Nothing more, it’s Kiev.

Chapter 5: ADE p.3: Black cobra

Last party is always the craziest, especially, when it’s Loco Dice and we missed him both at Barcelona and TimeWarp. Need to say, we have a new record with missed lists for parties – this ADE is round 10 or more. So little time…

Evening started with studies – we taught guys “Durum Durum” /don’t be dirty-minded, it’s Turkish food!/ and they us – Michael Douglas /not an actor, if U know what we are about…/

Time to go! Killing line-up: Bambounou, Loco Dice X The Martinez Brothers, Boris Werner  

From one used&abused party to other – it’s the best, no doubt! Bambounou, playing super light stuff, Loco in his best motives with a bit of r’n’b – like our first ADE, it’s a time machine? 

People, going wild, so as we –last dance is so special...

For the deepest sorrow – only until 8, but here the funniest begins.

Some guy offered an after -why not? After that amount of parties in many countries across Europe – afterparty with drinks means drinking. Imagine our faces, when we were thinking he went for drinks and came back completely naked? 

After we stopped laughing he asked – will I be in your blog? Hahaha, it will be a story, which will always make us smile.

Being clever enough we were leaving on Tuesday, so had one more night “to sleep”. After pit stop in china quarter and running away from some strange Spanish guy /yes, running, while he was thinking we are going w/him to coffee shop, but he looked scary enough/ we went to W for last cocktail before we go home.

Never plan to go home early. Started talking with some guys near elevator – and a bar crawling across all opened places on Monday night. With touristic clubs with pop music and live music French live music place /it was even “all I need for Christmas is you” there/.

Super light and super fun. Anew angle of Amsterdam, which never disappoints. Walking at 3 across the channel was a farewell for this trip. Don’t wanna say goodbye, we are saying see U soon. And, maybe, next time it will be more, than a vacation ;)

Chapter 4: ADE p.2: Getting higher

Why we found ourselves on Dam square instead of party? Don’t know, maybe, it’s a destiny? Each ADE weekend amusement park is installed there and U feel back to childhood, only with tasty caramel waffles. Being 6th time to AMS - and never been to ferries wheel! Shame on us, we decided to sort it out ASAP! We will give U a tip – if U are thinking about perfect date start for Amsterdam – there’s additional service: U, Ur crush, ferries wheel for half an hour and Moet bottle. As for us it’s so sweet /wink wink wink, U know what to do if we catch up in AMS/

Breathtaking view and so perfect Amsterdam – such moments are about understanding what U really want. Let’s go ahead?

Even rain in Amsterdam is not annoying, it’s a city charm. After Berlin we know – one of best crowds is Villalobos at Hyte. 

Even we are not about his music and leopard and gypsies – crowd would rock. Moreover, Seth Troxler and Fuse room. 

Even a bigger surprise – Riccardo’s music was nice that evening. Again, a lot of familiar faces and people we don’t remember /but they remember us :)

Accidentally after Hyte we appeared not at VBX, but at Breakfast club, disco-disco-disco. Like a mix of Panorama bar and Closer, many differ locations and floors, so exploring that place took pretty much. However, Panorama is more fun and trashy, this why we decide to take a nap and got to VBX.

The funniest was going home on tram, as 2 Ubers went away without us and no taxis around, so afterparty after afterpaty in a tram – is only AMS style.

Of course, we got up when VBX was over. Hahaha, again we missed it – maybe, next time? Following our tradition to party in classier club at least ones, we went to W hotel. Super centric location, picturesque view on night Amsterdam, open terrace and light around. As W parties were free there was a mix of people – some are about spending time in W, some came and talk about costy beer /c’mon! it’s an expensive place, not Heineken experience café/, some pretend to be super intelligent to start talk with question about favorite book and are surprised when U name at least five in a minute

Nice deep house, we looking awesome, handsome guys around – why didn’t we come on Thursday and Friday? Omission, we will note it for future.

Enjoyable talks and U don’t feel time – it’s half an hour till closing and we came so early. Afterparty of Hyte w/Collabs? We went for Hyte, but decided to stay in touch. That was wrong and here are the reasons:

1/ open stage?! First time seen it! A lot of strange people around and not a proper feeling with them 

2/ ok music, so what? Music is about several parallel parties, better we go to Circoloco

3/super stupid Elrow after with an hour waiting on the street for guestlists! Fucking freezing in a park in an open dress! Organization was so upsetful and we were like snowflakes – so went home, trying to explain to our driver what’s the street name on dutch, as both phones switched off at cold

Time’s so tight – it’s already Sunday!

Chapter 3: ADE p.1: Back to the roots

Need to mention this fact – few days before ADE our Airbnb booking was cancelled. Thus, the worst plan was Central Station, hahaha. Destiny is kind to us – our friend offered to live with him/and he cooks like Gordon Ramsay/, so, living with a chef is a new level!

We started with a bar in Hoxton hotel – a big advice to go there! Super tasty cocktails, beautiful people, friendly atmosphere – great start of the evening. After a battle between Pan-Pot and Panama Panama won/even mentioning the fact that they forgot to put us on a list/. Each year it’s a tradition to go on Wednesday there: to meet 1/3 of previous ADE and get acquainted with whole club. 

To be frank, don’t remember much about music – suppose, it was good, as we were staying until the closing. Plus, running from some pizza chefs from Dam with bottle of champaign – ADE started well!  

Thursday plan was Afterlife – however, some shit happened to our guestlists, so the decision to go was Drumcode and Hyte.

Nowhere except Amsterdam U have a feeling of party while entering the park. Don’t actually remember how many times we attended Gashouder, but vibe there is so specific, that U can close eyes and guess the place only by music.

And – a welcome surprise. From the whole getting in crowd bodyguards stopped only us and asked about documents. Ofc, we have copied with us – but a surprise was we needed hard copies! Aren’t we so crazy to take passports to techno party /remember, we don’t have ID’s in Ukraine/. So, 15 minutes eloquent discussion with security and we are in. they are soooooo strange there, like remember our story about backstage bracelets for hugs?

Being “a bit” about Hyte parties we didn’t spend much time on Awake. Like time on Awake was equal to time waiting for Uber. Not so packed Warehouse, we were even sad to be in our leather dresses…

As usual for Hyte, music was banging. 

And beloved Warehouse, and Speedy J, and Floorplan’s “Never grow old” all that links and that moments – that was about day 2.

The strangest thing – don’t remember how we got home. Both of us.

Chapter 2: Rotterdam and Antwerp

Arriving to Schiphol was like a blast. Hallelujah!!!!! Nice people around, smiling and caring, feeling like home and total happiness. Rdam met us late at night, with wine and chats about travelling with our friend, planning cultural program for 2 upcoming days.

Waking up early, we got to Museum quarter via water taxi. Such small thing – but more emotions, than for all 2,5 days in Poland. 

A lazy walk through duck park on a way to Kunsthal and Boijmans museums give U that perfect autumn emotion of appeasement, no rush and enjoying every single moment.

Kunsthal had several parallel exhibitions: African, Dentistry in Print Art, but the best was Peter Lindbergh photography part.

Several sections, dedicated to different categories -Supermodels, Couturiers, Dance, etc – each one is a truly masterpiece and proving how genius Lindbergh is.

Place near museum is also interactive – giant sculptures and HIM. Fat bunny is our hero for a day.

Boijmans museum includes both old and modern masters, contemporary art and places to be “in touch” with art. 

Impressionism and modernism, surrealists like Dalí and Magritte, always depressive Rembrandt and bright Warhol. 

Down floor is more active -U can hang under a ceiling and listen to music or hear the music of giant walls. Highly recommend to visit.

Rdam is like big contemporary art music – installations and sculptures on the street, combined with Holland style houses, stylish graffiti’s, modern architecture, futuristic bridges – this city needs more time to explore.

And yes – Markthal. It’s a giant market, combined with flats and offices and paining inside is the biggest piece of art in Netherlands. 

So best was yet to come –herring! 

And octopus, and fish soup, and pickles and madam cocos cookies /all 5 kinds/.

Thinking we can’t eat no more we went for local bars and absolutely enjoyed De Witte App and NHow bar the next day /all pink everything, U know….

Rain couldn’t stop us from driving to fairy tale city Antwerp next day /ofc, to buy all the diamonds/. 

Lazy, lazy Belgian waffles – all closes up too early, so it was just for sightseeing, drinking and eating. U imagine, no diamonds??!!!

Absolutely yes to coming back to Rdam next time, we even feel the vibe of adventures there…

On a way to Amsterdam our driver, with bunnies on a window, was discussing his latest party in Berghain with us. And forecasting Dutch husbands, if we invite him to wedding. Ok, we’re in!

Chapter 1: Vinnitsa-Warsaw

This trip was planned ahead to catch as many cities as possible – so, we started with trip to Warsaw from “amazing” city Vinnitsa. First of all, we made a mistake in dates and trip began a day earlier than planned – so really didn’t know what to do with all this “fun”. 

Have U been to Vinnitsa? DON’T GO. Airport is located deep into the forest and while going there U’re saying goodbye to all Ur family and friends. But it’s not the worst – airport is flashback to Soviet Union style /never been there, but it seems so/

It’s frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrezing, no place to sit in comfort and no place to drink /it’s the worst nightmare!!!/. We were guessing is there a Duty Free, as needed to drink ASAP, thanks God it was there!

Ok, stuff in airport was super friendly, but it seemed half of us would die during a flight. Yes, it was a sign – Warsaw will suck, but we knew about it later on….

First day was sunny and while walking around /as English is unusual language for Poland, surprise!/ we went to a zoo – time-killer, agree? 

Standard “pack” of sightseeing, shopping, drinking and sleeping – all we can tell U about Warsaw. Plus, weather was getting worth –cold and rainy weather could be ok for many cities, but here it worked for apathy and wishing to fly away. Only jelly piggies could save us...

As a conclusion – Warsaw could be ok for a half day to switch planes to other countries, but staying there is not for us. Maybe, having some proper party would change our opinion, but nothing appealing to our taste was on air – however, we had A LOT of sleep.

OFF WEEK 2016: AFTERLIFE

Probably, it was one of the most expected parties during off week. A perfect mix of favorite artists and beloved Plaza Mayor – what could be better?

This trip we are unlucky for early party arrivals, so came for Recondite’s oriental motifs. Flashback to 2015 and social music city party: the atmosphere, location, scent of old Barcelona square and knowing all the spots.

Marcel is always perfect, incredible vibe and smiles don’t go from our faces. Anyway, we are about hard techno – it’s incomparable satisfaction/or comparable not with music? :)

Promise to start crossing days until next time we see him –Amsterdam or Berlin for New Year – don’t really care.

With good music time’s short – already Tale of Us start to play. Electrifying on the skin and going under it – aren’t we sleeping? Totally in love with their set, It’s getting higher and higher and U’re feeling every second– completely stuck in the moment and it’s flawless.

The biggest surprise was Dixon – completely not in his style. No hypnotizing moments AT ALL. Maybe, he’s not in the mood? Better Tale of Us were extended as the moment was a bit gone...

Weekend vibes

IR BCN 2016: Ellum

Actually, don’t remember much after flight from Ibiza.     

Except we landed in second terminal and looking for our luggage, left in terminal A, for almost an hour. Decision to sleep a bit was unanimous, so waking up next midday we felt alive for beach and sun.

First party to visit was Ellum – can’t pass by it, U know :) El Monasterio location is super – old castle on a heel with a breathtaking view and a princess feeling.

It was becoming dusky, when we arrived – some magic in the air mixed with Danny Daze music.

For sure, should come earlier, but every time is the same story – we are 2 girls :) a big advantage of this location, that it’s only one scene and we don’t have to run among 4 floors, as at last Ellum party at ADE.

Next ones were Agents of Time, playing live. Few weeks before we missed them in Kiev, but, sure for 100% -here is better, mostly because of atmosphere and people. Music is pulsating, more and more familiar faces coming, sparkling lights and darkness, coating all around –all was preparing for the main act.

Here goes Maceo – crowd is getting heated and it seems like trees are also dancing under his music. 

That moment we don’t wanna stop “elluming” and continue to after, but had to have an eye on Second State party in Pacha, so, were leaving a bit earlier to catch a cab before all parties around finish.

Going down the ladder and feeling wind of night Barcelona we were sure- our OFF week started perfect, let’s go dancing!
