the goddess herself arrives, ILIA!!!!! as a child she lost her parents and was taken in by a fairie named Meene, growing up she became a powerful alchemist who could even create living people with science. one day during a gruesome war, she and her companion Mordecai would sacrifice themselves by sealing themselves away with a powerful demon, Ilia would then go on to be worshiped as a goddess being a symbol of unity between humans and dragons, now a thousand years later, the demon has been freed once again, but so has Ilia and Mordecai, now with a new greater mission that could determine the fate of the multiverse itself...

also she's very close with Zethia after all the adventures they went on together.

Lowkey obsessed with how Zethia's freedom IS Ilia. Every time she seeks out her own agency in the story, she always comes back to Ilia.

To the point where Zethia forming a Pact with Bahamut, the Dragon of Possibility, it's done through the blade given to her by Ilia, in a direct parallel to Ilia's Pact with Elysium in Forgotten Truths.

Ilia and Zethia are so innately intertwined as Characters, that in the context of their interactions, the Romance between the two just feels like a natural outcome.

this morning the United Nations Human Rights Council voted on a resolution calling for a ban on arms sales to Israel and the resolution passed. two Israeli border points opened for aid routes (they were supposedly open? lmao), Biden is calling for an immediate ceasefire, last night was the first without air attacks on Gaza.. the killing of seven foreign aid workers shook the world apparently, but oh god how late. the journey to recognising genocide for some seems to avoid acknowledging the humanity of thousands of Palestinians who have been murdered
